Chelsea had lost to lower division opposition in the FA Cup for the first time since 1995, and the first time since 1992 without a penalty shoot-out.

A bad day at the office, good luck to them hope they win it now.

Not bothered about Chelsea and Man Who going out, but I do think it's fantastic for the competition.

Heard it's the first time for about 12 years , 1 of the top 4 wont win it.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Maybe not for the fans of the top teams, but as the pundits have said, it will probably be a far more exciting game than chelsea man U or arsenal, and I tend to agree.

Whether they go far in europe or not doesn't matter, it's the kind of thing that supporters of "little" clubs give up a lifetime of saturdays for, so good luck to them, hope they enjoy their day out, just as many Darts did years back.

had a real lazy day today and decided to watch the two other semi's on BBC1

have to say they were both very[ honest] entertaining matches with no superstar histrioniocs or stupidity just 4 teams trying to get to wembley

both winners deserved to go through , virtually no yellow cards or a sign of a red , no excuses and a credit to what i call football !!!

man of the day for me was GARETH SOUTHGATE as when interviewed was graceous in defeat even though he must have been pig sick and may lose his job over it - i hope not !!!!!!!!!!!

certain so called class acts such as ferguson, wenger and even the departed " special one "  + many of the overated prats on £100k a week could learn from that ????????/

my faith in football has been restored a bit today

Did anyone see West Broms third goal? Exactly the same thing happened to us at Arlesey, the difference being our goal was disallowed!

i saw it and miller [ the eventual scorer] was at least 10 metres offside but NOT interfering with play ?????????

bill shankly once said if any of his players were on the pitch and were NOT interfering with play then he would kick their bums [ least i think he said bums ???? ]

ALSO

just another stupid rule that ranks with the one that allows a player to shield the ball over the touchline - in anybodys book that is  OBSTRUCTION  ???

there i go sticking my neck out again ??????????????

Lovely rant from Ferguson and co.

What bad losers.

Hope the FA take them to task over their after match comments. How they can bitch about Martin Taylor's (Birmingham) tackle against Eduardo, in a game that had nothing to do with Man Utd and critisize that players conduct, when Fergusons ex-captain and former blue eyed boy, Roy Keane admitted in his biography that his tackle on Man City's Alfe Inge Haarland was deliberate, and ended up ruining his career is OK is beyond me.

I'm glad both Man Utd & Chelsea are out.

I've also heard that Villas name is on the cup....somewhere !!!  I think its probably a veeeerrrryyy  long way down, somewhere between  Royal Engineers  and  Wanderers. xfinger

Also i seem to remember hearing that on one of the rare occassions that they did win it, they bunged it in a shop window, and some scally nicked it, never to be seen again.

"In 1895, Aston Villa won the competition for the second time, beating West Bromwich Albion 1-0.

That November, during an FA committee meeting, the club had to report that thecup had been stolen from the shop window of William Shillcock, a football andboot manufacturer in Birmingham, which had been proudly displaying the trophy.

Although a £10 reward was offered to anyone who could recover the cup, it was never seen again.

Instead, Aston Villa FC were fined £25 which covered the cost of a trophy "as nearly as possible like the old cup".

Tut tut. i reckon Villa should be banned from the Fa Cup forever for that. But then again no one would notice anyway.
