i like your posting spike,i wanted to quote your 4th para but i dont know how.its just that i am pleased people are beginning to notice JK is a great player.personally i think he is our greatest weapon because he makes things happen.yes he does lack mobility as does OB which makes this duo a difficult one to get right.however the brilliance of ryan hayes gave it a chance when it was only the two of them.despite some JK moaners he has a hand in almost every goal we score, where would we be without his passing ability and his quick brain.
saturdays starting 11 without doubt IS our best team and the fact that tony chose this team with a fully fit squad says it all.tonys descision to add eddie to the existing two was inspired and gave JK the opportunity and freedom to perform.after about 55 minutes the job was done and i am sure JK came off the gas a bit especially after some nutter in the tilbury team hit JKs ankle
i hope to see JK in a dartford shirt at least another 100 times
Everyone knows JK is a good player Rambo and it is true that he has a hand in loads of goals and delivers some great quality dead balls. Unfortunately though, (IMHO) his lack of fitness/pace means that it just doesn't work quite as well for us when he plays centre-midfield alongside Alex who, despite his other great qualities, also lacks mobility. Eddie Mac on the other hand, has a great engine and gets up and down, driving us forward when necessary and then going deep to help recover the ball before driving us forward again. Almost all of our big goal-fest games have occurred when Eddie has been central alongside Alex.
Last Saturday though, JK seemed to find much more time and space on the wing and the balance of the team looked so much better. JK had a very good game its true, but whenever I watch him I can't help thinking that, if he was as fit as Mark Green for example, he would be absolutely phenomenal!
I agree with Janine ... all that "languid" stuff is nonsense, currently it's just a matter of whether you think his lack of fitness is outweighed by his natural talent. On Saturday's performance and in that position I think it worked great. Whether you could get away with it at the next level I don't know, but if he stays with us and spends the summer training hard, he could just as easily be the best player on the park next season. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
