Being as this has de facto become the match thread here's the team comparisons

                               Edgware Town  FC                Dartford FC

 Position                              4                                 1

Lost                                17.50%                         15.00% Lost

Home Clean Sheets                12                               11 Away Clean Sheets
Home Goal strike rates         every 55 min.                  every 30 min. Away Goal strike rates
Home Goal concede rates     every 164 min.                  every 106 min. Away Goal concede rates

Last 6 Matches   LWLWWWL 10 goals for 11 against              DWWWLW  14 goals for 5 against

As we all know, this was never going to be an easy game. Given Edgware's home form, the last 8 home matches W6 D1 L1 12 goals for 5 against, and our away form W4 D4 20 goals for 7 against, with both teams needing a win for different reasons, this will hopefully be a very entertaining game. We really do need the 12th man (the supporters) any chance we could get near a 4 figure gate for an away match? Surely we can beat the 738 that went to the Suds game xbow xbow xbow, I think I heard mention on saturday about a 3rd coach being added so who knows.
We have 1 spare seat in the car leaving Dartford around 12'ish if anyone needs a lift, PM me. We will of course NOT be rushing back!
that's seven!!!

You remember those pre/post-war movie newsreels where they invariably would show a group of northern football fans (probably called Stan, Nobby or Arkwright), puffing on dog ends, all decked out in their Sunday best, wing collars, flat cap and oversized rosette saying "Up For the Cup", piling into a couple of carriages, supping on a cuppa or leaning out of the windows waving their scarves or silly little flags as they set off for their big day down in "The Smoke"? Well, I reckon the 10:17am from Dartford is going to look very similar to that! Dartford FC are on their way to Edgware and we're going mobbed up (in the nicest possible sense, naturally). And if the BBC are filming this for inclusion in a piece to be shown on The One Show then DFC are going to come out of it looking like the Champions they are.

COYD!!!!

I'm probably going with a few mates from school and we'd be leaving from Crayford station. Where exactly at London Bridge station would everyone be planning to meet.

cheers, btw, someone on the Edgware forum has just confirmed that the BBC will be at the White Lion Ground (Edgware's ground) this saturday to film as part of the segment which means us Dart fans will be getting national exposure. If we needed anymore reasons to get down to Edgware this saturday, you've just been giving another one.

Tommyg, Just walk down Borough High Street (away from London Bridge) and it's about 60 seconds on your left.

Good job there are no plans to go to the Market Porter. I would never get to Edgware if we convened on that particular heavenly alehouse.

One word of warning - many central London pubs do not allow colours. I have had several problems before when trying to get a pre match pint before games whilst wearing colours. Has anyone warned or checked with the intended pubs to find out what their policy is or if we would be welcome? I dare say the Paper Moon and the Edgware pubs will not be a problem but central London pubs are particularly unwelcoming to football fans and I would imagine there would be a hefty police presence around London Bridge station for the arrival of Leeds fans. The last thing we want is to be in the front line of loads of hassle with the locals, especially with the boys in blue on every corner. We are noisy and we will be in numbers so we will stand out like the proverbial aching digit and we don't want to drag the clubs good name through the mud.

Not wishing to put a dampener on things Banksy but that is just the sort of self contained attitude that WILL bring trouble. YOU may think there is nothing wrong with 50/100 people piling into a pub and singing away but several others may and a few landlords may!

It's not a case of who we are. Anyone that is going to get upset (and you can bet there will be some) won't care what colour shirts we are wearing or where we are from. They will lodge a complaint regardless. I was (thankfully) refused admission to a Dartford bar for wearing a Dartford shirt not too long ago so don't presume that we will be welcomed with open arms by all and sundry!

I know that MOST (not ALL) Dartford fans are well behaved and it's all a good bit of fun and banter to us but I would have thought it was only a matter of courtesy for someone to forewarn the pub in advance to make sure they are happy with the situation. If the Bunch of Grapes decide to be selective in who they admit, I just hope people don't start throwing their toys out of the pram and whatever you may say about our support, there are a few short fuses among us. I intend to be part of the 10.17 entourage (assuming it doesn't get cancelled of course) but if things get a bit heated or embarrassing, I'm certainly not going to hang around too long.

Totally agree with Roger xnod
Us ringing up and explaining our intentions would be better, and if they do turn down a profitable hour or so alternative arrangments could be made before saturday.  xnod

Thing is if we do ring them, then no doubt they will contact the fuzz and they will turn up, certainly dont need that.

Think this has been taken out of perspective, we are going for an hour of drinking thats it. We aint going for a Royal Rumble
