I'm devastated that I'm not going to be there on Saturday. You would have thought that Universities would have kept in contact with the BEST TEAM IN KENT to arrange their holidays around the most important days in football.
Anyway to all those on t'interweb on Saturday I'll try to get updates from my spies at the ground (that's if I am able to hear them).
Let's round the season off with a belting 8-0.

Wayne Hemingway is opening part of the fantastic new public open space at The Bridge this Saturday and I'm meant to be cutting the ribbon with him. Now, I told everyone involved with the event weeks ago that there is NO WAY i am not going to be at PP that afternoon so we agreed on a 10am start.   Wayne then gets invited to appear on Soccer AM and wants to make the event later.

Anyway, a deal has been done. Upshot is I have agreed to move the event to 2pm and Derek's going to keep the car running so I can get to PP by 3. In return, I'm told Wayne will to try to mention Dartford whenever he can on the telly!!!

He can't honestly do much better than the last time he was on, when he described PP as the best new Stadium in Britain (Emirates and Wembley came second and third) but it'll be nice if he is able to get a mention again.

My guess is that by 9am on Saturday morning some of you will already be too plastered to focus on the TV or work the remote but hopefully someone will see it.

Can't miss it Jeremy...

I like Wayne Hemmingway, he was on tele this morning talking about North vs. South and communities. He also appears to be a passionate football fan.

Is he coming to the game?

What with 'Inside Out' to be shown on Friday night on BBC1, Dartford continues to flourish.

Well I'm sure all Darts fans will do you the huge favour of getting to PP extra early so that the roads are clear!
Though we might have to have an extra drink or two! Hic!  :-D

Things to bear in mind with this game is that these only lost 1-0 away to Redbridge and drew 2-2 with Sudbury at Wingate.

Eagle88, please could you explain exactly how these results have any baring on Saturday's game? You could have said that Wingate & Finchley lost 3-0 away to Great Wakering Rovers and that they also lost 2-3 at home to Canvey Island whereas DFC beat GWR 0-2 at their place and destroyed CI 6-1 at PP!! Or how about the fact that they have taken 6pts from a maximum 48pts in their last 16 games? Should a title winning side really be weary of this sort of team?  xshrug xshrug

Alas I look at their recent form and the large crowd expected and the job we did at their place all points to a nice 3-0 win in the sunshine!

I think they will come and have a go first half then sit back and enjoy the ambience in the second half. Either way should be goals which will be quite fitting end to the season!
