I had the pleasure of speaking with Deren's Dad after the pre-season VCD game. Knowing how proud he was of his son after his performance in that game I bet he was fit to burst (and quite rightly too) while Deren was receiving his award. Well done & congrats all round.  xnod

I have to admit to being more than a bit disappointed for Deren and his family with the presentation arrangements ( the 2 Chairmen, 2 photographers and a representative of E.On). Saturdays game would have been the best place I feel for him to 'officially' recieve his trophy - at an FACup game! but the decisions were made elsewhere........

He might well be with the U21's - that's probably the reason why it won't happen on Saturday.

This must have been planned. What Maidstone AGAIN? The 1st team Tuesday, the U18's tonight. The U21's on Saturday, all away. Most bizarre!

It's a shame to see from the Ryman Bulletin that the Golden Boot (and Gloves) awards have fallen by the wayside because the sponsor has dropped out. Not that we've got anybody well up the leader board - Rob Howarth's 4 goals are a long way behind Richard Jolley's 12!

& seeing as this active "24/7" forum rarely reaches "in excess of" 500,000 page views a month (apart from this month & April), how can the official site get that many hits? I digress....
