4-5-1 works well  , when the ball is being worked through from the midfield and the lone striker is able to hold it up for the midfield support guys[ eddie mac/noble] , the tactic of long high balls needs a target man [ jay may - haworth ] or else it falls flat on its face !!!!!!!!!!

i like 4-4-2 with one of the midfield being a winger and the other in the hole just behind

however you takes your choice ????????????????

dover must on paper  , be favourites tomorrow BUT they have a history of NOT performing in kent derbies , so fingers crossed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would probably give Razor the edge in this one

You're sharp - especially for a party animal.

Personally I'd like to see the play spread out wide to Butterworth. He can play a ball that cuts through a defence like ... erm, ... a hot knife through butter...

Am posting this without having had the benefit(?) of seeing Saturday's game.

For Dover I would like Cass to be given all the help we can. I am a huge fan of his but think it is asking a lot to get him to plough a lone furrow up front in a higher league. Give him the second attacker.
Cass also works well with Ryno and Ryno makes things happen most of the time. That Coyle/Ryno/Cass axis did well last season so until it is shown to be failing why not go with it again?

I'd like Lee Noble in the centre to give Dover something to think about. I think they are going to be hard enough to beat tomorrow so I'd like our danger men where they can cause most damage.

I think this one is going to be very, very tough.

we simply must play Haworth up with Cass. He was almost what was missing at Hendon and was always chasing and getting stuck in.
For me Ryan didn't make an impact on Saturday, but at home he is a different prospect.
I did say I could see him on the bench and not in the team.
We changed too much in midfield and I would expect to see the back four stay the same for tomorrow.
The biggest thing that was required though was the need to take our chances. Thats the difference between good teams and bad teams in this division. We could have had 3-3 on saturday, but we would not have deserved it.
Most of all we need chances created by our midfield.
No WW I won't pick a team. That's TB's job, as I don't know who is fit or what tactics he is going for.
We really need to remember that players are in the team sometimes because they do specific jobs that others aren't as good at. And not because it the best 11 we can pick.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Just to point out that those who arent old enough/newer vintage of supporters may get a treat tonight in seeing Andy Hessenthaler donning his boots although 2 games in 4 days may be too much even for his 43 year old legs!

This man is a true Dartford legend and I reckon if he plays he will still be one of the fittest men on the pitch and one of the better players

Without getting too whimsical and nostalgic I cant believe its 20 years since we saw him ploughing through the midfield at Watling St doing a lot of the donkey work for Peter Taylor in the engine room!

So whatever the score tonight supporters old and new enjoy seeing Hessie in action there may not be too many appearances left in his legs!

Will be a different game tonight due to night game, rivalries etc so expect a different Dartford display tonight as if the players cant get up for this one theres a problem!!!

Hess came on as a 70 minute sub on Saturday so his 43 year old legs should be primed for action this evening! I would doubt that he would start himself, and if it wasnt for Alan Pouton being injured during our last friendly match, I doubt he would even be a sub. He is still a class act though and his passing is brilliant - he was given a through ball to chase on Saturday and needless to say that he wasnt overly impressed with the player who put him through as he got no where near it!!

it would not surprise me in the slightest to see hess start tonight.it could be just to tempting to play.he is still as fit as anyone and has a passing game second to none.
i think their will be many more dafc supporters than suggested.we are taking 11 from our office alone and know of many more who have filled cars for this game.
should and will be a great occasion.

You don't know how glad I am that it's come to this. After the last few years, to get some kind words rather than full-time moderation of posts, is much appreciated.

I do hope the genuine DAFC fans enjoy their visit to PP tonight, because on their first visit, everything was new and although I feel the club did a very good job, DFC were not used to running a 4,000 capacity football stadium. Also there were still a few niggles with some of the facilities. I trust the bar will be open for both sets of fans this time round.

It should be a spine tingling atmosphere under the lights, a 100 minute game as it always is against Dover and hopefully we will see some great football. I am really excited about the evening, it's what people at all levels in the club from Directors to loyal supporters have dreamed of and rightly earned. It also enables the newcomers to see why the dream was so tightly clung onto by the few who all know who they are.

Dartford Vs Dover Athletic - Ryman Premier League, yes gents you have achieved this you have made it happen, Dartford are back from Oxford Road to Princes Park the Phoenix has well and truly risen from the flames. Hose me down.
