They dont coutn you are right, what it does show that we just need a little luck to kick start the season.  I can't believe with the calibre of player we had out and the chances created we haven't hit the back of the net ... it's a game of inches.  I hope this doesn't start to affect confidence, it certainly causes frustration!!!!

On a more positive note (if nonleaguefootballlive is to be believed) we will be off the bottom of the table at the close of business ... Tooting are 7 behind!!!

Well we could be winning on corners - doesn't get us three points.

I'm not trusting that site. They had maidstone on a 1-9 loss.???
now showing 1-2, and they have taken all the scorers of the vidiprint.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

i still think we look a good side whohave had the worst luck i've seen in a long time.butterworth looks more effective than ryno and day looks very good.lee noble worked and worked and deserved to score.he looked really frustrated today.ref was abysmal as we lost 15 minutes in second half to blatant timewasting.where was the crowd? :-(

Where was the crowd indeed? The famous choir outsung for most of the match by a dozen hastings supporters and a drum!

I wasnt gonna post today but felt I must.

Just back from a frustrating game and feel very pee'd off.

Firstly, their first goal was totally against the run of play and their second was a wonder goal. We more than matched them today but it's the same old story - we didnt put our chances away. We just need to score and i still think the floodgates will open.  xnod We were better than them today and I truly believe we will be mid table at the end of the season. Lee Noble was immense today  xtip hats off to him and TB for getting him here because he was different class to everyone else on that pitch as usual. The new guy, Day came on and had an instant impact, another great find by TB. We were unlucky as usual, didnt get the rub of the green and i think the ref takes his holidays in Hastings. But anyway, the only way is up now, so onwards, n upwards.  xnod
The reason I'm pee'd off is cos of the stick that was given to Ryno from our supporters  xshrug I think we can agree that tackling is not Ryans strong point but he has the ability to put in the killer ball. If it wasnt for Ryan, among others we wouldnt even be in this league!! I cant believe the calls that were coming from the so called "dartford faithful" shouting at him that he's rubbish and get off the pitch!! If anyone got the sort of stick today that he was taking from his own, would they perform better in their jobs??
Roll on Monday and bring on Harlow, a goal has got to come sooner or later and when it does someone will be on the end of a hiding  xnod

1 UP 3 DOWN.

Went behind the goal with 20 to go, hope you noticed the difference.

OK we are not getting the rub of the green in front of the goal, but we are still lumping it up to the diddy men, we are still getting caught in possession and we are still making fundamental mistakes in defence.

Its going to be a long hard season, what do you think Dave!

I think all of us now know that it wil be a far more difficult season than we had thought    Tooting and Mitcham are down there with us too !

game review - How did we not score at least twice ?

How many chances did hastings have  ?    exactly !

Hastings are not a good Premier league side

We must sort out our finishing   like now !

We will get some luck and hopefully soon but confidence must be low now

We  can and will rise above it because we are Dartford FC

Performance wise     Coylie Noble Day and Butterworth looked good but as for everyone else     well they will have to play alot better

From all the friendlies and games I've seen now my next side would be

Kess

Coyle Flans Guest Ketchell

Butterworth Day Noble Dafter Hayes ( despite today )

              Haworth

Lets sort it out and soon

This time I did feel that the team were much more unlucky than on Tuesday against Dover. Umpteen chances, any one of which could (and maybe should) have gone in on any other day/run. But 2 bad goals to give away: the first a mistake on the edge of the box (by Guest?) allows a shot which Kess half-saves only for it to loop up and over him into the net and the 2nd a speculative attempt from 35 yards over Kess who is six yards off his line.

I still can't understand TB's formation and tactics, though. 0-1 down at home, half-way through the 2nd half he brings on another striker. All right so far. But then what does he do? - Takes off the other striker and continues playing 4-5-1!!! Surely by now he must realise it just ain't working?

You couldn't fault the team for effort (sometimes excessive? -  Dafter was lucky not to get red-carded for a very bad tackle and Barnesy can't have been far from clocking up 12 points on his licence). The main problem to me was (as it had been in the previous two matches) that the opposition players were bigger, tougher and stronger, quicker to the ball and harder into the tackle. Far too often our players were simply hustled off the ball and passes were cut out. Much the same could have been (and was?) said about Hendon and Dover, but surely no-one will dare claim that we were unlucky to come up against another top-6 contender so soon in the season again today? Maybe that's what all the teams are like in the Premier. If so, be afraid, be VERY afraid... But three 0-2 home defeats against Hastings in the last 3 meetings.... Is there a pattern emerging here, do you think?

Regarding individual performances, nobody performed particularly poorly (though I wasn't that impressed with John Guest today and I thought Ryno was a bit disappointing) and many tried very hard.  Lee Noble worked his socks off again - with no reward. But just to make a change I am going to give my MOTM to Jamie Coyle, who hardly put a foot wrong and worked just as hard in attack as defence.
Butterworth and Jamie Day both looked useful and encouraging when they came on - more penetrating than Powell and Ryno. With Powell's suspension coming up soon, I think there's a good case for starting with both of them next Saturday at home and quite possibly away at Wealdstone on Monday.
