Believe me, I am not trying to start a match thread as its far too early, but I remember reading on here last week that this game had changed to being at HOME and the December game being away. Official site says still 2 Sept as away game....

Any ideas as need to arrange to get to away game from work if still the case....

Cheers

I think the same Ryman bulletin (reprinted in the Hastings programme) mentioned that Carshalton are having new floodlights installed (or old one repaired) which is why their home and away fixtures (not just ours) are being switched.

Cheers.....Home on 2 Sept is fine by me.....
Thanks for clearing it up....Maybe the official site should be updated   :?

If it doesnt get updated I reckon it could be our lowest attendance all season...........With a few people wandering around Carshalton asking why there is no football match on ???

Ryman Bulletin 1 - 11th August 2008, said:

CARSHALTON ATHLETIC FC

The Club were delighted with the news that Sutton Council have this week given planning permission for further improvements at their attractive Colston Avenue ground. The main terrace at the ground has long been regarded as one of the best in nonleague football, giving spectators an outstanding view of games and generating a great atmosphere. Their enjoyment should be further enhanced with the erection of new floodlights to appreciably improve visibility for players and spectators on winter Saturdays and for midweek evening games. The new installations will replace the existing 40 year old pylons and will be on attractive single masts sited around the pitch. The new masts are lower than the old pylons and the light spill will be controlled.
Local residents are also expected to welcome the new installations as the level of light pollution will be much reduced. The club hopes the new lights will be operational in September. The same planning meeting approved plans to construct a new block at the School end of the ground which will contain new toilet facilities (including provision for disabled supporters) and a large kitchen which can be used on match days for hospitality as well as upgrading the present takeaway catering offered to supporters.
The Club hope to have the new facility open by Christmas 2008.

Im afriad the snare drum will b missing for four games including the Hastings FA cup match which im gutted about.

It will be there on Saturday for the game then the home crowd can get a taste of it and hopefully if its wanted back it will return with me to the Horsham game.

 :-(

Sponge it worked well at Harlow so I'm sure the home crowd will welcome it and with the additional backing for the choir, will spur them on to even bigger & better performances.
