Maidstone v Darts
« on: September 21, 2008, 08:36:44 AM »

I think we should all forget about the past and hope for a good game on tues.  At the end of the day it wasnt the fans thought we both lost our grounds and ended up no where.  At present youve come out the far better and its us stones fans that have to goto shittingbourne every other week.  On paper we have a far better team than last year but after sat im going for a draw on tues.  In fact the highlight of the season for me will be going to your new ground.  Should be a good atmos that day as we will bring a fair few fans with us. Hope to see a few of you tues as i do agree with some comments what a shit day to have a local derby.

most dart fans are well past the " old days " but will never stop us [ always ] wanting to beat you lot [ same applies I know ] but you really ought to be a bit more gracous about sittingbourne cause like us , you are still able to play in a decenty level of football cause of ground sharing and whilst sittingbourne isnt " wembley " it is still a better bet than the
" jehovahs witness " pitch that you started out at !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so binsey , a little more humility as when {?} you get your own ground you will thank yourself lucky that sittingbourne hepled you in your darkest days

should be a cracking game on tuesday as we have just come into form and we really do want to see the steam rising from " uncle lloyds "  head [ once again]

look forward to some good natured banter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UP THE DARTS

nb DJJohn says you are a better fan than you are cricketer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got it in one, Tuesday is not the day to have to play you, we will bring a fair few but common sense tells you that we would have brought many more for a Saturday game.

Should be a good game (pitch permitting) lets hope that your mouthy coach controls himself.

Anyone not been to Sittingbourne yet please do not expect a nice ground!

just been told by a stones fan at the local newsagent [ when collecting my NLP to read about how great we were yesterday ] that " uncle lloyd " tried to get tuesdays game brought forward to 7pm so that selley and cox could get back to the old folks home by curfew time of 10pm  !!!!

they are also worried that the drafts caused by lnoble, butterworth and ryno continually going past their defenders could mean they all have colds/sore throats for the game saturday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UP THE DARTS

nb are the stones on " binsey watch "  ???????

Hope we can carry Saturdays form into Tuesday night, I'd be happy with a draw, but it's going to be tough.
Will miss the game, which is a bit annoying as I'm only up the road a bit. Shit!! got that wrong didn't I.

Have you been drinking Binsey? In all the years I have known you this is the first time I have ever known you to talk sense. I have got to agree with you that Tuesday evening will prevent a lot of supporters getting to the game and will cost you guys a couple of grand in gate receipts.

For those who do not know Binsey; he plays in the same cricket team as me and is our Mathew Hoggard in that he swings the ball...well sometimes. He has also had a promotion with the bat this season batting at No.10 with his one shot (cow corner sweep) managing to average 15. Before you start to mention my batting or keeping this season I only played 8 league games this year and still managed to average 28 facing some very good bowling especially that Indian under 19 player down at Folkestone although I did have a bit of a Geriant Jones behind the stumps!

Can you ensure to line up the drinks when I get there on Tuesday (work permitting)? and will Shaky and that gay chap with the very tight jeans be there?

I hope Dartford continue from where they left off on saturday and put in a fine performance against maidstone on tuesday night. But I do agree that it is going to be a hard game, but we should definitely get something out of the game  :-D

As for an earlier post ref cox he has been brilliant for us and is far to good at this level.
I still go for a draw this tues, however we do play shite at sittingbourne so you probably will nick it by the odd goal.

Really looking forward to tomorrows game as it will be my last for a few weeks (holiday).
As it is a proper local derby and in school term (i'll be without my daughter) i may even join the choir as i won't have to cover her ears or try and explain some of the comments
Hopefully we can carry the same form from Saturday into this game.

Should be a good one tomorrow night and the result really depends on which side turns up - if Maidstone play how they did in the first half vs Tooting the game could be over by half time, if they don't (as I expect following Saturdays efforts) and your recent form continues it could still be over by half time!  Don't you just love Kent derbies!
