I think TB is going to have to do something about Dafter's mouth .Although i am quite a fan of his i get a bit frustrated by his constant arguing with the officals which has got him booked or almost booked on a number of occasions he's not doing the club any good at all.

Some of ypu lad's make me laugh,  We score two good goal Harlow get a dodgy penalty and you go on about a draw would have been right. It don't make sense, its goals that matter and the team with the most goals WIN with 3 points.

Another pretty poor performance, only this time with a better result.
I thought Ryan had a poor game except for the one piece of magic that won it ! Most of his crosses were overhit and wasted.
Man of the match for me is still Danny Dafter (again) even though Andy Young saved us a few times.
I think we need to unload a couple of midfield players and bring in two full backs asap.

Sorry to disagree with Cusdart, but for the second match in succession I can't understand how Jamie Day was allowed to play the full 90 minutes. OK, if it WAS him whose pass put Ryan in for the winning goal, but for the rest of match he did nothing positive at all for me.

Aitch,

Never apologise for disagreeing with me. In fact, the sooner that most of you realise that the world basically revolves around me, things around here will get easier for all of us.

I thought that as the game went on Day came into the game more and more, but, I'd like to see him play more centrally as to be honest he reminds me of a blonde Eddie Mac. To be honest i felt that Day may be fitting in to the squad a bit better. i know it contradicts a previous posting of mine, but I will always admit when proved wrong and when it comes to players for DFC I'm always happy when that happens. Provided it's for the positive.

We do seem to be overstocked in midfiield and to be honest i'm having difficulty as to who should start and who should be left out. The easiest option would be to go 4-5-1 with the talent we have in the centre, but my starting midfield would have to include Dafter, barnes, Noble, Day, Hayes and Butterworth, oh yes and Eddie when he comes back.

That's our dilemma in a nutshell for me

If you can keep your head whilst all those around you are losing theirs, then you may have seriously misjudged the situation!

the first thing i would like to say is that once again TLD has his finger on the button .we have to address our left side.tommy is not a full back and this is why he constantly drifts to the right and leaves a lot of space for the oppo to exploit.he even looks at the winger but wont come out wide enough to stay tight.the pen he gave away he was actually to the RIGHT of the left centre half and that makes him at least 15 yards out of position.

anyway am i pleased ? yes .i am exstatic.i was really looking forward to the game to see how good harlow were and how close to them we are.harlow have had 2 seasons i think in the RPL and this is their third.they are a fixture at this level and for the time being are going nowhere.this season we want to be at least at their level.we dont want to flirt with the drop area again and i cant see us reaching play off level.harlow were well organised .all their players knew their job and they had no decent individuals that we would want to sign to take us to the next level.they also knew how to niggle and how to get the descisions from inept officials.we matched them everywhere on the pitch and in reality the game could have gone either way.we were as good if not better so i am pleased and confident enough to say we are here to stay and must push on for next seaason.
our next two games are real testers as they are against teams the next level up from harlow.one point from the next two fixtures ,tooting and hornchurch would delight me.

as for the game we played very well at times and were under the cosh at times.our keeper is bloody fantastic and our defensive play is improving and we look so much more solid when flanners pays.dafter is doing a superb job in the middle and i made him motm.white had a good 60 minutes playing some good balls and some bad, but he puts his body where it hurts and joins the attack quickly.day was a huge disssapointment.i dont understand what he is trynig to do but i am sure when he settles down he will be a force for us.just as he was really pisssing me off he put a great ball through for the winning goal.day is a good player waiting to happen.
ryan hayes showed once again that if we dare not to start him we are a worse team.
our forwards ? i just dont know ,the new bloke looked a similar style of player to cass but quicker.we need a man that can get 20 at these level but then again so does eveyone else and if we suddenly found one he would be targeted by the conference sides.
i could not be happier as to what we have achieved so far this season

As for our flag, those putting it up this week, loved the misjudged attempt the first time when you failed to notice the lack of netting to attach the other side!

That was truely a Basil Fawlty moment!!  xgiggle

How about putting some hooks on the ends of the flag and use a pole to hoist it up?

COYD

OR even a Bulgarian/Romanian chap!!  :-D

Even matched teams.

Glad to get the result, and a good finish from Mr Hayes.

Their drum seemed a lot a louder than when we played them at their place - and there we were about 15 metres away from it!  xshrug

Having had a glance at the first goal on Saturday was that a couple of 'Peter the penguins' being lofted/chucked towards the heavens behind the goal in celebration!?? If so a welcome return!

A couple of interesting fixtures on the horizon. Tooting will be tough and Hornchurch will be a good guide to how far we have come in 12 months, having played them at basically the same time last season, all be it in the trophy!

The way Cody gave that guy a yard start and still got the ball, if he can finish as he has been. I hate to say it, but once Rob comes back, I can see a Haworth/ McDonald front two.
As much as I love Cassie he still doesn't have the pace for me, and he doesn't win things in the air. His best game is playing off the big man. And sadly, I think Cody's been brought here for a reason, not to make up the numbers.

OzyM I dont think it is sad. (I am slightly twisting your words for effect) Cass is/has been great but the team is bigger than one man. If TB can strengthen and thus better the team then so be it! I'm still sure Cass has a future just needs to get the 1 goal and then go off on a run!

I think it was Mcdonald  who smashed the bar from 30 yards last season at their place and had it gone in would have been the goal of any season! He looked lively then in a medicore team so I think may prove a useful addition to the squad/team!
