Fitzy if you are reading I was wrong!

Anyone know if TB faces any punishment for being 'sent off' on Saturday! Mind you it looked like he was getting a better view where the referee sent him to!!

So as much as I want to continue supporting the Darts I must seriously consider my position, if thew club cannot handle passion then I will take it elsewhere!

A bit melodramatic, I feel.

No just the way I feel at the moment!

If you give up the Darts Eagle you could always join the Council.  As you know, Councillors are full of, er, passion.

These referees have got it easy.   :-D I get abuse and criticism all the time and in the last two years have had a gun, a tank and a wet sponge in Central Park pointed at me. Not a suggestion of a 'respect' campaign in my direction i note  xshrug.  I even got a threatening letter from someone who called me a bald, fat git who should get my face smashed in (I've had it turned in to a poster for my office wall).  Can't fault him for accuracy in general but bald???  I'm not bald, I just choose to cut it as a gesture of solidarity with those who are. I'm like bono for bald people - always raising awareness.

Personally I felt the first half we were out played. The second half we looked like we could have managed to walk away with a point (I dont think we would have deserved anything more). I am going to pretend the penalty didnt happen on the grounds it never should have.

Not going to comment on the throwing of stuff except to say I agree with what has been said on the other post, there is no need for it and just brings the club down.

Robbie Haworth was the t*ts, a real work horse again. Its good to see he is shutting up a couple of certain 'fans'!

I did notice at the end of the match there was a respectful amount of clapping for our team, only really heard the booing at the end of the first half which was most definatley not needed. MInd you, I do notice we play better in the second half at home so maybe it does good?!?!?

Left very frustated and had to cheer myself up my killing Christmas in NY on Kareoke afterwards......

Having looked at the video evidence I hadn't realised how close to the edge of the area the Sutton player was. However, the actual 'infringement' was inside the area from my view - just. What the video does not show clearly (because of the angle) was the first stub of the toe in the turf well inside the area and then the fall over - once the ball had run away. The ref had a clear view and the Sutton player was at speed and the challenge was simply clumsy. Note Scouse's reaction - he did not seem too aggrieved by the decision? I agree it should not have been a penalty and the Ref was overall very poor - if anything a decent ref would have waved play on or given a free kick on the edge of the area.

Still can't change it now, we are too good to be where we are and I am confident we will be sitting in the top half of the table pretty soon.

Not going to say anything about the officials or the throwing of things at the Sutton keeper as it's already been covered numerous times.

We were clearly beaten by the better side on the day who played some very nice football with Sutton being a lot quicker and hungrier for the ball as well as being a lot stronger than us.

2 well taken goals by Daffy and Rob and to be honest an excellantly taken 2nd goal for Sutton although we should've defended a lot better against it and not let the player turn the way he did.

Sutton have some very good players and they all work very well as a team and defended at times in 2's or 3's to quickly shut us down before breaking away on the attack.

Hopefully neither Tony nor Steve Moseley will get into to much trouble whatever was said and that the referee's assersor will take some kind of action against the idiot who was in the middle of the pitch supposedly running the game.

I gave my MOTM vote to Daffy who continuosly worked hard and was rewarded with a goal.

Fingers crossed for better luck against Tonbridge tomorrow.

Presumably the assessor's report will refer to the manner in which the referee dealt with Tony and Steve. He was well positioned to hear exactly what they did and said.

After watching the penalty decision over & over again from Sonys excellant video i just can't believe how wrong the referee got it, the decision was a complete & utter joke and even the Sutton player thought the ref had given it against him with the way he reacted. He clearly went to ground when he saw he'd lost the ball for a goal kick.

Absolutely rediculous, also after watching the footage i can't believe just how much alike the ref and that muppet linesman was who cried to the ref about Tony & Steves comments, they could've almost been twins they looked so alike.

Report taken from the Sutton site. I suppose their description of 'a soft penalty' means it wasn't really a penalty in their eyes either. xshrug xshrug.

Paul Doswell felt that Saturday's 3-2 win at Dartford proved a fine advertisement for the Ryman League. ''It was as good a game as I've seen this season'', he said afterwards. ''Dartford are one of the best teams we've come up against, with some experienced players and playing good football, and played a lot better than their recent results have suggested. In a good stadium with a large crowd at was a great advert for the competition.''

He was also delighted with the result and performance. ''I thought it was our best away performance of the season'', he said. ''We were in control early on, we were very sharp and the passing was good. Steve West provided a focal point, and I thought again that David Hughes was outstanding with Steve McKimm in keeping hold of the central midfield. Then they came back in to the game and we had to weather a 10-15 minute storm, which meant that Chukki's goal just before half time was absolutely crucial.''

That goal might have been expected to demoralise Dartford, but that proved not to be the case. ''They came out strongly and there was some great delivery of dead ball situations – I thought their first goal was almost impossible to defend against – but then we had a bit of luck with a soft penalty and it set up what I thought was a very good last half hour. We created six or seven chances on the break, while they went a bit longer and launched in a few long throws, but didn't score again until the last few seconds. I think that goal made the game look a bit closer than it was, and the defending there was one of the few poor marks from our point of view, but overall I thought we deserved to win.''

Paul thought that the penalty was a crucial moment. ''If the second goal was important, the third was even more so after the way Dartford had started the second half. I couldn't see the incident very well, but we haven't had that sort of decision go in our favour much this season so if it was a bit soft it was maybe a bit of luck that we were due.''

U's starting line-up saw Steve West in attack alongside Chukki Eribenne, and Paul praised his assistant manager afterwards. ''We felt we needed to keep the ball when it went up to our strikers, and I didn't want Chukki to be the target man, so putting Steve up alongside him gave Chukki a licence to be more of a striker. It paid off, because it was Steve's headers that set up both the first half goals. He's a very experienced centre half and centre forward, and what he may lack now in fitness he more than makes up for with his experience. We've always got to check him after about 70 minutes to see how his legs are, but when he came off yesterday we were 3-1 up, so he’d done the job very well.''

I've had a look at Sonytino's video tonight and decided to make a decision on my first viewing, just as the referee would have done. Didn't think for a minute it was a penalty. Their guy seem to fall well after the event. Surely Butters has the right to put his right foot down on the grass after previously been on his left foot, otherwise he would fall over.

I know the highlights can only cover the best parts of the match, but full marks to Sonytino for a very balanced view of the match. It certainly seemed a massive improvement on last weeks display at Harrow and looked a very entertaining game. Another performance and spirit like that and surely we can get something out of the match at Tonbridge.
