Keep those votes coming in for M.O.M. and Tommy O. he's got the most votes of the players who haven't won one and yes he's ahead for this game and thoroughly deserved.
Playing in his best position in the middle as a sweeper he did I'm sure help instill confidence in Sean who had an excellent game and when needed helped Adam out, which wasn't too often.
As for the game in general a good workman like effort from the players and it had all the appearances of a ground out 1-0 win until the two goals that came later on to relieve the pressure, although to be fair we didn't look like slipping up and they certainly didn't look like scoring.
Goal machine Cody created the first out of nothing and the second was a goal sniffer's reaction to toe the ball in from amongst a crowd of players, our second goal I'm not sure if it was given to Ryno, but he deserved it.
The pitch held up reasonable well except for the boggy goalmouth end which is worrying as in the first half Andy was struggling to bounce the ball from drop kicks, then we have a groundsman come out and stamp a few mounds of mud back and fork a few puddles, only for the bench players to use the goal for practice during the break.
Daffy did well to restrain himself once he had picked up the booking and just did enough going through the motions to avoid the referee's wrath and a second yellow.(A referee who seemed intent on having a go at Daffy for no apparent reason other than he was hard into the tackle and won the ball fairly)
Three good points and the right result in front of a very reasonable crowd, as the attendance of around 900 was good when you consider the weather and Xmas shopping factors.
