Dover Athletic (A) [Live Text/Reaction]
« on: December 08, 2008, 02:31:04 PM »

Ok then.

I know its the game everyone has been waiting for and surely to be the most attended game of the season. With the history between the two sides and the support they both recieve its sure to be a good game and amazing atmosphere.

So lets show y dartford are the best supported team in kent and take as many as possible down to dover. Everyone who sings the song,

We all follow the dartford over land and sea, (and dover)

now is the chance to show that you will, and experience an away day like never before. Lets take 600+ down there and support our team throughout.

So invite your mates and your mates mates. If you dont have any, invite your family! And if your still stuck use the last resort and invite the other half!

I'll repeat the same warning I've given before any match with Dover over the last few seasons due to the history, and the fact that it seems to stir up "passion":

"Any hint of abuse between the two sets of supporters will be punished swiftly, and harshly. I don't have enough time to be dealing with petty, childish squabbles so I'm warning everyone now - Dartford or Dover supporters, I don't care. Just follow the rules.

I'm hoping the Dover fans will be able to come onto here without being abusive, just as I hope that any of our fans can go onto their forum and not be abusive."

http://www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,3678.0.html

The forum guidelines are above.

On the match side of things, I'm looking forward to going to Crabble on Saturday - I think if we bring our best game, we can beat Dover. No question about it.

Anyone who is getting the train may like to know that there bout 8 of us getting the 9.34 from Dartford arriving into Dover (after changing at Rochester) at 11.28.

The plan is to then jump in a couple of joe baxi's to the pub advertised in the programme on sat (think it was the 3 cups) bout 5 min walk from the ground, and apparantly not overly busy matchdays

Apparantly little Banksy should be joining us for the train journey, although no one is sure what state he will be in or if he will still be dressed as a tranny  xshrug xshrug xshrug

Oh, and the other thing I was going to put in here:

Gooner has a few spaces left for the second coach (I think there was about 6 left) so usual contact details if you want to come down on the coach (12.15 from PP)

with 2 losses in the last 4 matches it shows that dover and NOT invincible [ NOT that their forum is saying they are] and we could have just caught them at the right time cause no one is confident after losing to a team[ harrow] that they would have expected to beat comfortably

we were NOT outclassed at PP earlier this season and we have a better team now so IF the real dartford turns up then we are in with a shout   !!!!!

it will be a cracking game and i am [ secretly] pretty p....d off at missing it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Kearsney is the nearest station. 10-15 min walk (but a lot longer when staggering!)

Dover Priory is half hour walk away. You can get taxi's or the 66 bus drops you right outside the ground or outside the 3 cups pub, the 66 bus leaves town at 45 and 15 past the hour and stops at every stop on the main road nearest bus stop from station is outside Iceland supermarket . Don't use the taxi's from the ranks at the station you will be ripped off. 01304 202027 is the cheapest firm and if you need more than a 4 seater then go for 01304240441. Kearsney is a 20 minute walk from the ground but if you go there you will have to be on a slow train so will take you forever to get from Dartford.
