If we carry on playing like we did on saturday, it will be a good game. Looking forward to this game, not looking forward to the wind coming over that sea wall though brrrrrrrrrrr

I loved the Canvey Island trip last season. very nice people and a lovely, bracing (!) location. Particularly loved their little hut with a 'Club Megastore' sign over it. Summed up the best of the non-league spirit brilliantly.

I'm looking to make the trip this year.

Therefore if anyone is in need of a lift I have 3 spaces in the Custard Wagon up for grabs.

Send me a PM if you need a ride

Looking forward to going to Canvey again, nice club and people.

However the league really need to have a long hard look at the xmas fixtures.

Is this really a local derby for either club xshake xshake

Imagine at home to Maidstone, crowd could have been 1500-2000.

What? As the crow flies maybe. But our buses and coaches, unfortunately, can't fly over the Thames and the Canvey marshes.

Forget the crow, Canvey is closer in driving miles than Sittingbourne (I'm sure 180 will do the links...)!

Think the league done an ok job in picking the "Derby" games, we have the slight disadvantage in Kent/SE terms that we are the closest to Essex so when there is an odd number of teams to choose from we get shunted (again!).

I shall do the saddo bit without the crow:

Dartford to Canvey Island 23.7 miles

Dartford to Sittingbourne 27.4 miles

Maybe but if they knew anything about football they wouldn't have chose this as a "DERBY" match for either side.

Especially with 3 quid of crossing tolls for out-of-towners and other non-Dart-Taggers.

Really looking forward to this one. The Canvey fans created a good atmosphere in our games both home and away over the holiday period last year. I've got no problem with this being the Christmas/ Easter fixture. They've got a sense of humour too and it may be no bad thing to have a more light-hearted encounter this Saturday.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they come on here with their playful, witty banter.
