9th January 2009 Notes
« on: January 09, 2009, 11:17:32 AM »

Its a very frustrating time at the moment after finishing the year off so well you want to keep the momentum going, but the cold weather has put paid to that with last weeks game called off and tomorrows game in question.

On the plus side we are very fortunate to have the all weather community pitch to continue training on during the week and if we do miss out on the game tomorrow we will be training to keep things ticking over.

When games do get called off there is always a knock on effect and although we have a fully fit squad at the moment, players who are suspended, that suspension continues until a first team game is played.

I am delighted that one or two players have started to break through from the U21 squad and started getting involved with the first team on training nights and match days. This as also helped me in my decision to let Steve Butterworth go out on  a months loan to Newport to get in some much needed match practice.

I hope the game is on tomorrow and that many of you can make the trip and support the team in another very difficult away game at Hastings.

Thanks for you support
