Good point King Penguin, I certainly hope that the players got the meassage as there was considerably more applause and for longer at the end of the game than usual and less chanting and singing, it was in deed a point well earned.

I must admit that I had reservations about whether Tommy Oz would be good enough for this division but I have to say, in recent weeks he has been well worth his place. I think he looks much better at sweeper or on the right than he does at left back and I thought he had another very good game on Saturday. That said, I have to agree with Ozymandias as I had Tommy just pipped for the MOTM by (2009 Player of the Season elect) Danny Dafter who, once again, was absolutely outstanding in the centre of the park. In my opinion, Danny has been awesome this season.

Whilst not pretty to watch, it was a decent performance from the team and a well earned point. My one complaint was that I do wish Guesty could just occasionally pass the football to one of his team-mates .... I know he wins the ball a lot and does a fair job at defending, but his distribution is bordering on criminal at times and it surprises me that one or two people considered him for MOTM. Oh well, that's football ... I guess we all see it differently.

Overall though, considering that 3 of our best 4 players were absent, I don't think we can be too sad about the result.

Bloody great point in the circumstances. Was a nightmare waiting for the score to come up on the vidiprinter on Soccer Saturday. Why is our score always the last one from our league to appear?!?!?

Dont care how we got it but an excellent point!!

Also  good crowd. Did Staines bring a few or did the recent good run squeeze some extra home punters through the door??!

One extra thing to come out this game after the suspensions, as a bonus, is that I feel it confirmed that we do now have a squad of around 15 players who can all feel they are up to the standard expected of a Ryman Premier player and are all players that we can feel proud of and who are worthy to pull on the Darts shirt and who wear it with pride.

Couple this with the under 21's having players Tony feels are capable of sitting on the bench when necessary, all bodes well for the future and is obviously helping keep the players budget down with the smaller squad.

A good point made, so many changes have been made this season one would have expected us to never settle but the current players, form and support, show this club is going in the right place at the right pace well done Tony and all those involved  xbow

As for the above question there was about 30-50 Staines supporters spread throughout the ground, so great home support from the Darts  xtip

A very good point for the Darts against a good side who will possibly be favourites to win the play-offs, The team  tactics were spot on for me and i certainly would have taken the draw at 3pm.

MOM for me was Tommy, closely followed by Danny, but to be honest considering the oppo and our suspensions I thought that the whole team deserve credit.

It was also refreshing to see a referee use common sense ,something which sadly a lot of  officials seem to lack,it wasn't a dirty game and I thought the young ref made a few errors but showed a bit of savvy when it was required. After the nerds we had against Sutton and Hendon this guy showed a bit of ability.

We should see this ref again in the future because he won't get promoted if he's going to use common sense.

I think a draw suited the match (although if it wasnt for Andy Young and teh woodwork have been two or three down by the end).

The only downside on Saturday was the choir wasnt in strength, couple of times I found myself singing to myself! Needed sponge to keep the tempo up!! Oh and the podgy linesman who got a couple of decisions blatently wrong!!

I haven't read much about them on here for some time and I don't know if they are the same people that posters have commented on before, but I was really p*****d off about the three moaners sat in front of me in the stand. Nothing that any Darts player did was right for one particular member of the trio. It was "what did you do that for?" "why didn't you do that?" "that's no b****y good" and even more critical things directed at indiividual players in a very loud and angry voice. I was VERY glad when they moved away at half-time, presumably to impose their unhelpful comments on some other poor spectators. I know there are those who think that the £10 they pay to get in entitles them to air their views, but as has been said before, if they think the Darts are that bad, why do they bother coming? (To spare the missus?)

More positive comments about our ground, our team and our fans on the Staines forum.

Seems Staines have suffered  some problems at other clubs but Saturday seems to have restored their faith--you may recall, Staines were very complimentary of our fans when we visited their place and dug deep to help the collection they had for their 'Special Babies'.

Darts fans take a bow--Staines have realised what we've know for a while --our fans are the best in this league !!  ....................and our teams not bad either ..................or our ground. xwhis xwhis

I was really impressed with the Darts performance on saturday, despite missing three key players, who also have the majority of the speed in our squad. Nevertheless, the lads managed to salvage a point, and a well deserved point at that.

I voted for Andy Young this week as he made a great save at the end to make sure we took a point from the game  :-D

Saw Teddy S at the Bromley V Welling game on Boxing Day. He had his hands full with some nubile 25 year old!

Welling looked pretty useful especially Sheringham and their keeper was excellent. Bromley were awful....that got me thinking that having seen Bromley, St Albans & Hampton this year we arent too far away from being a conference South set up ourselves! Welling IMO looked a further step on!
