The Cody McDonald Transfer Thread
« on: January 12, 2009, 06:34:01 PM »

I know is this day and age you can get deals for players being struck at 11:55pm on the 31st of January but we are nearing the halfway point of the season and to my vastly unknowing knowledge, nothing concrete has been put in for Cody. I'm guessing that if a club were to make a bid then TB would inform us in his notes or someone else around the club but its getting ever more slowly tense as the prospect of keeping Cody till May/June floats around in the background.....

hope he stays for the rest of the season, even if he is sold hopefully they will loan him back to us till the season ends as he has been a revolution since joining.
he is league standard im sure, and just imagine how fast he would be after being pro for a few months and training every day!!!!
Tooting sold a player to league football Antonio i think? and went from 2nd to the lower reaches of the league after he left, heard they have got him
back on loan now thow? Im sure Tony would have a revolutionary replacement lined up in any case.........

Wolfie Smith (nee Foxy)  was a Fulham supporter so not sure if he would venture further south than Tooting

Who knows what will happen ?. After listening to tony at the EGM ,he will do his best for Cody and DFC,I understand that a lot was learnt from Dave Martins move to Palace and you can be assured that Cody will get the best advice available from TB and his team.

None of us want to lose Cody's talent but if a deal comes in that is good for Cody and the Darts then I don't think we would stand in the lads way,he deserves a crack at a higher level,so lets enjoy his goals  while we can.

well said, i am sure dfc will get what he is worth if he goes, not forgetting he is a forward and they cost big money.i reckon he is worth between £50/k and £100k.If we can hold on to him until the end of the season or start of next his price will rise.

Then now would really be the best time to buy those shares , girls and boys. Forms available from the club shop.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

If any scouts are reading this site I wouldnt bother signing Cody this season. He hasnt played for 2 and a bit weeks and that will be a further week due to suspension so clearly will not be match fit and no good to you!!!

I think its a win win for the club as if he goes we are gaining a reputation of getting players into the higher divisions/football league which added to the ground is a great advertisement for DFC plus we get some cash/possible add ons and if hes stays then he keeps banging in the goals as on his day he is unstoppable!

Yea, although there was reported things for Millwall, i haven't heard any more or charlton for that matter...

but i'm sure for his own good he'll be advised to stay with the darts rather than Charlton!!!

But seriously a player like him is one that'll get snatched away from us... and i wish him the best of luck...

on the coach we asked him, but he  seemed not to want to answer!!!

I have heard dart fans, that a certain cry baby xcry put in for a transfer to Dartford... that he'd been a fan since a child etc.

but apparently TB has a strict policies on mugs.  xcry

The article in the "Kent Messenger" today mentions that Cody has been offered a trial at a Championship club, without mentioning which one.
