I'd be very surprised if Tony allows him to go training with any club without them showing some real interest as that was the problem we had with Davie Martin. As soon as 1 club is allowed to have him train with them then they all want him to train which can cause us problems and teams then lose interest as well.

If some kind of offer or deal is made then he should be allowed to go training with them but not until.

I think you are right 5th, i can't be sure but didn't TB comment along these lines somewhere (podcast??).

It was mentioned on one of the podcasts and also Tony mentioned it again at the EGM meeting a few weeks ago.

Can't see how he can stop him, when Dave and Jay where training with other clubs.
Think one or two others have as well.

Heard Colchester mentioned

As WW said it's because Cody's on a contract he can't go to any other club unless Tony allows him to even if it is just for training. The mistake was made with Dave Martin in allowing him to train with one club who showed a bit of interest, the next thing almost every club that showed the slightest of interest wanted him to train with them as well which disrupted the team and wasn't good for Dave either.

Tony has already said that he's learnt his lesson from the previous error and won't now be making the same mistake. If a team shows any real interest then they can come and watch Cody play for us.

From the players point of view surely it would be better to go in the summer if he is going to go at all. Davey M joined a struggling side right in the middle of a poor run and it did him no favours. Far better if he joins in the summer and has a good pre season abd gets to know his team mates.....unless of course we then get no money for him!!!!!!

its NOT cody they are interested in ,  its [ super ] tommy osborne .  iagree with coney when he said " cody's only been doing it for a few weeks , tommy is a legend "  !!!!!!!

UP THE DARTS

Cody might leave but Tommy won't.  I have it on good authority that man city offered 200k a week, and Tommy just said no way, needs the Dartford love too too much to leave.  :-D
That's what he told me whilst cooking the burgers anyway  :-D

A Norwich Ciity supporter I work with has confirmed that he is up there training for 2 days either yesterday and today or next Sunday and Monday. Apparently they are quite keen and also more worryingly quite skint!!

Hope it goes well for him he has all the raw tools to be a professional footballer and of course he scores goals which is hard to put a price on!

How much do we reckon Cody is worth? Would we get more than when we sold Dave Martin  xbop

Chris Dickson went' for 50K as well, I think, so going rate for strikers seem to be at least 50K.
Worth more than DM???? maybe but only because he scores more, which although an unfair gauge does win you games

I think a sell-on clause would do us well, particularly if he keeps improving

when i was in norwich a couple of weeks ago i was telling one of my customers who is a long term norwich city fan [season ticket holder and well connected ] about cody mcdonald and just how good he was

he has just telephoned me to tell me cody is up there training [ seems TB is with him ?/] and getting some local press

i told him it will cost them 100k but he says getting rid of roeder etc has cleaned them out BUT hopefully deila will dig into her hand bag [ again] !!!!!!!!

norwich have a great track record of selling players on for £1 million plus so for christs sake get a 20% sell on clause inserted !!!!!!!!!!!

UP THE DARTS [ and the canaries !!!!!!!!!!!!!
