Deal for Darts match

The Canaries have agreed to play Dartford in a pre-season friendly as part of the deal that took striker Cody McDonald to Carrow Road last week.

The Ryman League club received an undisclosed fee for the 22-year-old, and City will take a team to Princes Park in July. The Darts will also receive a proportion of the transfer fee if McDonald leaves Norwich.

Dartford manager Tony Burman said: "We would've loved to have kept him but the joy of seeing one of your players become a professional outweighs those emotions.

"I think it's an excellent place to end up. Norwich treated us like we were in the same division as them and in all the times we spoke it wasn't about the money and more what was best for Cody."

Nice gesture by Cody to come back and say goodbye, a lot of players would have just walked away. We have a lot of good memories regarding his short stay with us.,it's good to know that he appreciated DFC and it's fans.Good luck mate!!

It was good to see Cody out on the pitch again albeit just to say GOODBYE as such, it might have been better to have had Cody make his appearance just before kick off though as a lot of people had either disappeared to the bar, toilets, tea bar or fag break so would've missed it.

......would have been even better if he'd made his appearance just after kick off the way the first half was going  xgiggle
