Anyone starved of football action may wish to come along to the game tonight 19:45 KO, I am also led to believe that there will be a few first team squad picked for tonights game.

Despite the 6 goals it was over all a disjointed performance considering we had six  first teamers on show.James White and Danny Dafter started in central midfield which i imagine including Ryan Hayes is how they will line up saturday (solid but lacking creativity).Jamie Coyle,Flanagan and Guest started at the back and Brendon Cass up  front. Brendon for me was  the most dissapointing ,looking sulky and frankly uninterested which is not good if he is still wanting to force his way  into a regular slot in the first team. A useful exercise on the night but i pray we defend better against Staines on Saturday.

Felt they looked totaly disjointed for much of the game and I feel had Henno the opportunity to put out his original U21 team would have ran out comfortable winners. That said  the excercise was to get first team squad members match fit.

Disappointing that the U21s' good run came to something of a halt (or at least a slowdown), especially as so many 1st team regulars were taking part. Maybe that was the problem, though - disrupting Henno's boys' rhythm and style of play. But I suppose that's the downside for them of having to help some first-teamers get some real football under their belt.

Just felt that all the back four were doing were lumping the ball forward in the hope Brendan latched onto it , Henno has instilled into the boys fast, flowing , attacking football and is a pleasure to watch. xnod xnod

Floodlight Trophy (West)
Dartford v VCD Athletic Tue 13 Jan 2009 FT 3-3

Not too sure who exactly scored as one of Eagle's pix says Hussein scored & the official website says: James Taylor, Jamie Coyle, and Umaru Turay scored.
Anyone know for sure? Coyle deffo scored.

It was interesting to read the comments about Brendon Cass in this thread and to contrast them with what Tony said about his performance in his Friday notes- two very different views of the same player in the same game!
