Concord Rangers (A) League Cup [Text + Reaction]
« on: January 25, 2009, 11:20:52 AM »

Well with 3 days to go and no-one has started a match thread so here goes.
Dont forget the winners of this match are away to the winners of Sutton v Horsham - I think.

be interesting to see how nick barnes and danny heale perform , certainly our midfield guys will need to strap up their ankles with barnsey about and whether danny heale still makes guesty and flanners look like olympic sprinters !!!!!!

will NOT be an easy game especially on a cold wet [ its never otherwise] tuesday evning on canvey island

back to the age old discussion of whether its a full styrength squad or chance to blood a few [ very promising] U21s ??????????????????

see you there

Didn't Steve Norman end up there as well?

Too many ex-Darts players for my liking.

Just don't give away any free kicks on the edge of our area. Norms could punish us.

Just in case anybody should be confused or misled by the title of this thread, the match is of course due to be played on Tuesday 27th Jan!

The 5th, The Duke, Eagle 88 and myself will be going together on Tuesday,(my memory permitting) so I hope we field a full strength team (picked from the usual squad) and try to win this game with no extra time or penalties.

After all Concord Rangers and the ex Darts will be trying to put one over on us, but more so because I have no doubt that there will be a good number of fans taking time out to travel and support the team and therefore we deserve to see players from the first team out there.

And a win would set us up in the right frame of mind for Saturday (risks of injury accepted)

But Tony knows best and I will respect his decisions, after all the league is our priority

According to the Ryman web-site the 4th round is Feb 10th when we are due to play the postponed Harlow league game.

Which is better? - A Ryman 4th round cup-tie or a re-arranged league match against Harlow? There's only one way to find out .... xbop
