I like your style rochesterdart. Enough of these mickey mouse competitions. We need to gently accelerate into the play-offs, aiming to peak for the final.

I was never happy at school. This one time the headmaster called me into his office. I was terrified. My friend jimmy went to his office and he could'nt sit down for a week, so I'm thinking please, please don't let him find me sexually attractive.

In my opinion we should ahve taken this cup seriously, o we know why Guest, Flanners and Haworth wer not playing, it was our one chance at silverware this year but anyway we are out so be it.

If we make the play-offs I will be proved wrong but i think it would have been good to keep the undefeated run going

We did take it seriously. Flanagan had a knock, Guest felt a twinge in the warm up - he was named on the team sheet!!! I'm not sure about Rob, although some would say that as one of the "elder statesmen" in the side, perhaps it's prudent to save him.

Ok thats fair enough then Gary it just showing us with the injured players were are a bit short in depth to the squad, but I am glad TB is not going out there to sign someone for the sake of it, it must be the right palyer or players.

If there was 1 player who a/ deserves a rest and b/ should be wrapped in cotton wool at this stage of the season it should be Rob Haworth!

Needed. Even professional players who are perfectly conditioned and train every day are unable to give the 200% that Rob has given to us every game this season, although to be honest, most professionals these days only really bother to give about 50%....

But not Cody!  xnod xnod

BTW, saw that Dave Martin sending off on Big League Weekend, it wasnt. It looked a sending off at first glance but he actually pulled out near just before making contact whilst the Stockport twat flew in the air dramatically to make it look as if serious contact had been made. At least it wasn't a straight red

Whether or not you agree or disagree with the policy, there is no doubt that the team would have been different (i.e. stronger) had this been a league game. I certainly wouldn't accuse Tony Burman of "not taking the competition seriously", but all the evidence supports the view that he sees some of these cups as "lesser" competitions and an opportunity to rotate the squad.

Personally, I am ambivalent about this strategy as I can perfectly understand the reasons behind TB's thinking yet I also sympathise with those who feel we could possibly have lifted one of these minor trophies had we been totally committed to doing so. It's a decision the manager has to make, a bit of a gamble really, but our continued steady progress over recent years would suggest that it's a gamble TB has been winning and I for one have no complaints.

I am sure that TB was trying to sign a fwd even before Cody left and perhaps others to strengthen the squad but as I am aware thay want silly money. You can guarentee one thing any player the present manager/staff bring in will play for the shirt number one
