Ashford Town (Middx) [Text/Reaction/Vote]
« on: February 19, 2009, 02:15:20 PM »

Well after the dissappointment of wednesdays defeat at Horsham it's just the league to worry about now, and the run-in for the play-offs starts here! However with both Danny and Ryno out for probably for 6 weeks at least we are very bare on the player front now, Flans didn't play in the cup game apparently because of a 'twinge' , John Guest withdrew from the team after the warm-up, we could be down to a bare fit  11 and U21's filling the bench.
Where do we go from here?

According to this week's Messenger, one "approachee" turned us down - that must be the one who was told his present club would up his wages to what we were offering, I suppose.

I've just had another look at the Messenger - and it's TWO "approachees" who've turned us down. Plus James White is also up for a one-match ban for picking up his 5th booking against Billericay. Haven't got time to check on the web to see when it kicks in, though.

Yet another (local) game for the Hampshire Branch of the DFC Fan Club - only 40 miles according to my sat. nav.

Aiming to get there at around 1.30, so see you there Eagle 88.  Only a small club house, I understand.  Hope they've laid on plenty of provisions.  The Darts are coming.   xbop xbop

Lee also got booked again last night. The talk last night was that's 15 yellow's and a 3 match ban

We are going to be very short on numbers now, just at the time we need to go for the big push

Tony best get his cheque book out as we might end up using all of the under 21s at this rate. On a seperate note who is going to watch reserves on Tuesday at PP?

Lee also got booked again last night. The talk last night was that's 15 yellow's and a 3 match ban

I only count 12.

Since his suspension:

Start 3.1.2009

Lee Noble suspended from all football until the Club have completed 2 first team matches for 5/10/15 cautions (completed)

He has been booked twice:

Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 31 Jan 2009
Horsham v Dartford Weds 18 Feb 2009

Even if he was booked against Heybridge & Billericay, I can't see what other match he could have been booked in to make the 5 yellows since his previous suspension. xshrug

I suggest you have another look Silverado as in the copy of the Messenger i've got it says that one 7 day approach had turned us down but 2 other 7 day approaches could come to frution before Saturdays game away to Ashford (Middx). Fingers crossed that Tony has managed to get at least 1 if not both of the players although as theres been no mention tonight after the training session then im guessing that nothing has happend yet and there won't be any new players for Saturday.
