Well summed up 5th Searcher, I think Jamie Coyle pushed forward and seemed to enjoy himself but Adam Gross could have used the space in front of him better, especially when they went down to ten men, but think they are under team orders. Carley looked a great signing. Got a family wedding in Canada to attend so wont be on the coach for next 2 games ( sorry Gooner )  but will be at next home game as usual. Hope to get text telling me of 2 wins and 6 play off points.

Just had another quick glance at the Tooting forum and was happy to see a much fairer report on the game but they are still claiming it was a perfectly good goal that was denied them in the first half.Apparently it was a Dartford defender that collided with the keeper. It might pay to examine Eagle 88's photo's which clearly show a Tooting player jumping into Andy Young.End of story. xshrug  xshrug

The latter stages of the game made me think that Carley up front with Rob may just be enough to keep us in the hunt. He's the right TYPE of player and he looked sharp, hungry and pretty quick too. Whether it's down to style, tactics or just plain attitude, Cassie just wasn't at the races again on Saturday. Other than that, it was a very good team performance.

An attacking quartet of Ryno(when fit), Noble, Carley and Day playing off and around Rob would look very good indeed!

Although he didnt get much joy I thought Cass kept going and kept the Tooting defence occupied. Although not at his best in my opinion it does help Rob knowing Cass (or AN Other) is up there with him!

Got to remember with the wing backs it is a change of formation slap back in the middle of the season (with no training sessions to work at it as its 2 games a week) and probably something Tony didnt think would happen. With no get out ball to Cody the wing backs in my opinion are still learning 'when to bomb on' and when not to. Sometimes it looks like the wrong runs are made at the wrong time from Coylie and Gross but it is getting better in my opinion!

Grossy possibly doesn't push up enough, but he may be under orders, all I know is that since we signed Grossy I don't worry about be opened up in the left back spot anymore, his positional play is good and if fit he is simply the best we have in that position, if you look at our record since we adopted 5 across the back it is pretty impressive,so  if TB is after one more player (Kent football website),I would not be surpised if it was a midfielder to cover for suspension/injuries to Danny,Daisy,Lee,Ryno ,Whitey etc. We have lost O'B and Cody from the wagebill recently and Bunn is rumoured to have jumped ship so there should be some dosh available for the final piece of the jigsaw hopefully.
Also has anyone noticed that Hampton & Richmond are 2nd in the Blue Square South, I know we lost to them 1-0 in the FA cup, but even though they beat us  I wasn't that impressed  in fact before they went down to 10 men we had them on the run,if I remember correctly the sending off changed the game drastically,so if we do get up there in the next year or two ,who knows??

True enough but H&R have built a reputation this season for grinding out results and the centre half who played against us was absolutely quality..Would rather see them get promoted than Chelmsford who seemed to think they would walk that division.

with 3 centre backs it should allow the full [wing] backs to bomb on and certainly coyley played much further  [and better] up the park than in recent weeks as the only obvious down side is that we lack width when attacking

I noticed that aswell, Coylie getting in more attacking positions now giving Hayes and co more support etc. Good to see Jamie putting in some crosses from nearer to the byline and not just his usual early crosses.
