Last night's game:
Canvey Island v Margate [ Abandoned ]
Abandoned after 83 minutes - power failuyre in local area - Margate leading 4-0

Wonder what effect this will have on Margate for Saturday?

I think they will get to keep the points which would suggest that we are in for a real scrap on Saturday.

Totally agree, and I'm sure the league will let the result stand.

However, Canvey could argue that they had 7-15 minutes to score 4 goals with a gale force wind at their backs and against 10 men.  They could also argue that they might not have needed to score 4 goals and had they scored even 2 goals it could be massive in the race for a play off place with 2 or 3 teams having very close goal differences.

Margate scored 2 goals shooting into the goal that Canvey were attacking in the last 2 minutes of the first half.  Is it totally out of the question that with the help of the wind Canvey could have scored 2, 3, or more, in the last 10 minutes of the half?  Margate must have been tiring too, playing into the wind and down to 10 men for an hour!!

I wouldn't be happy if we had a game called of with up to 10 minutes to go and then missed out on a play off place because of a goal difference which was 1 away from the team in 5th!

Important game Saturday after our last 2 away results wield only 1 point. Hayes out so its a big chance for Noble to hit some form and show us what he can do. Margate are lowly in the league but should not be under estimated following their 4-0 win at Canvey (if it stands). We need a big support down there and i have taken holiday from work for this one, see you all there, i hope to be in the Spoons by latest 1300 hrs, i take it there will be a few Darts boys in there?

May need a lift if anyone has spare room?

Gate think on their website we will only take 150 supporters!!!!! took more than
that on a cold, windy, rainy Tuesday to Hastings so would expect at least 250 to
300 at the Gate!! nice surprise for them im sure.......

Hopefully il make it 301 if my lunch break can be extended xnod xnod

we owe them one for that dreadful performance at home in the glorious sunshine
on October 11th ( my birthday ) what looked like a fantastic day turned sour as ive
never come away from a game so disheartened as i did then....

Anyway im not there so im sure they will win, my track record so far reads.....

Dover = Home lost
Wealdstone = Home draw
St Albans = Home lost
H and R = Home lost
Hornchurch = Home draw
Harlow FA T = Home WON
Ashford T = Away lost
Tonbridge = Away lost
Hastings = away draw
Carshalton = Home lost
Heybridge = Home draw
plus 2 x friendlies at home both lost

anyone want to pay me to stay away xwhis xwhis
