Firstly I would like to thank all the supporters who managed to make the journey down to Hastings on Tuesday night to give the team such good support on what can only be described as dreadful weather conditions.
Because of the condition the game was never going to be a classic and I felt who ever managed to get in front would win the game, our best chances were just before half time when Flan hit the bar and Lee had a one on one which the keeper saved. In the second half I didn't think our forward play was good enough to win the game but defensively we were very strong as a unit with Flan and Guesty having excellent games.
The draw was a fair result against a team who put in there best performance in recent weeks,we have played better and lost so a clean sheet and a point away from home is not such a bad result in my opinion.
Tomorrow we have another Kent derby away to Margate who had a great result away at Canvey on Tuesday.Positions in this league of any of our opponents are irrelevant but we must stay focussed on each game and try our best to pick up three points and at worst one from the performance.
There are no new injury concerns for the game tomorrow and the players had another good training session last night.
Back in August we were saying that the season was not a sprint its a marathon. We are now in March and I am delighted that we have got ourselves into a very good position and have so much to play for from now until the end of the season.
Thanks for your support
Tony
