20th March 2009 Notes
« on: March 20, 2009, 03:12:58 PM »

Tomorrow we have a tough away game with AFC Hornchurch. Our opponents have dug in and chipped away at the blocks with some very good results against some good teams lately. This has put them in a good place in the table to push for a play off position. We are in their way 1 point in front but they have a game in hand. These are games that we want to be involved in,big games with a lot at stake.

On the injury front Ryan and Daffy trained last night and Jamie Day will be added to the squad for the game, along with a new signing who I will name once the paperwork has gone through.

After long discussions with Brendan it was decided by the pair off us that he would go on loan to East Thurrock to get some regular games under his belt.

We are all entitled to our opinions and I have tried to respect comments made face to face or on the forum. We lost a game last week from which I stated the performance after the first fifteen minutes was poor by our standards, that's football it happens even with a fully fit squad there are no guarantees that things would have been different.I would not have any hesitation in naming that side or formation again. I am very pleased with the players and proud of what we are trying to achieve this season. In my opinion some comments this week have been near the mark and one in particular showed no respect for me, my players or my coaching staff and showed less respect with the feeble apology 48 hours later after the damage was done. For the comments that  have tried to be constructive and shown good debate thank you it was very interesting reading.

On a more positive note I would like to congratulate the U13 and U14 team's who won their first trophy's of the season last Sunday.I  hope we see them on the pitch at a home game before the end of the season to show our appreciation.

Hope to see many of you at the game tomorrow.

Thanks for your support,

Tony
