Delighted to hear we played so well yesterday and by all accounts should have won it!

If only we could have changed tactics 5 weeks ago.................................................................... xwhis

Great game and enjoyed the day .. really nice ground you have there.
Well chuffed with the point, especially with the results going our way, ( and yours  :-D ) .
Think you should be very optimistic of playoff place with some the other teams struggling at the moment.
Will be an interesting run in , good luck .

Thanks Tonfan. It was nice to see more than a handful of away support  xbow xbow xbow and noisy to boot - at least you didn't have a bloody air raid siren like the Harlow fans had on tuesday nite. If you make it to the play-off final as has been stated elsewhere, expect to see more than a few Darts shirts that day as honorary Angels fans.......

A really cracking game between two sides who wanted to play football. At times in the first half I thought we did well to live with them but in the second we were desperately unlucky not to win although they still looked a thoroughly dangerous side going forward.

The league table is not wrong. The best four sides we have seen at Princes Park are in the top four.

I've been trying to make up my mind about Bradley. Yesterday I was impressed. He terrified a good side, scored a goal and so nearly had another. I honestly dont think Worgan knew too much about the header- it seemed to come off his legs because his legs just happened to be there rather than any deliberate intent to make a save. BWG's passing is good and I enjoyed the reaction to the crowd when he got the penalty. I think there is something to work with there.

This is how we want it for the rest of the season. We still want that play off place but if we dont get it let's go down fighting.

Good points... Nice ground, Nice fans, good day out, good football, Bad points... Long queue at bar and chocolate had all gone at tea bar  xshrug lol

Cracking game for both teams, I think you may have deserved a 3rd goal in the 2nd half. I didnt think the ref was too bad apart from a few wrong choices against both sides.

Regarding the time wasting by our keeper I cant say I noticed it but I wasnt at that end so I deny nothing but your keeper was doing the same, I think both keepers were pushing for a draw.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season  xbow

Very difficult to pick a MOM - I shall have to think on it some more. I've said it before and been shot down but I'll say it again and no doubt get shot down again, but Jamie Day does nothing for me. During the first half, I finally realised who it is he reminds me of - for those of you with long enough memories: Butch "the Crab" Wilkins -"Crab" because so many of his passes go sideways. He was particularly guilty of this today in the first half, and to compound his sins, it seemed as if half of his passes either went to an oppo player or were easily cut out by an oppo player. I will concede, though, that he improved in the second half, but still not enough of a play-maker for me. So guess who won't be getting my Player of the Year vote this year.

Prepare to be shot again.....................

Just wait and watch when he's missing from the team, i just don't think people realise how good he is. The guy is one of those players that makes everything look so easy and hence doesn't get the credit he deserves. IMO he is one of the most important players we have and if we lose him will be near impossible to replace.
Whilst first half he was not at his best in the second half he was absolutely tremendous, but over the 90mins i agree not MOTM.

PS. If you are comparing him with Butch Wilkins did he not play for England, Man Utd, Chelsea, Milan............

IMO TB has got the formation bang on for the last two games. We needed to revert back to 4-4-2 as we just didn't look like scoring and were still conceeding. Since the change it's more exciting and although we ain't keeping the clean sheets we look capable of winning games again.

Yesterday i thought Tonbridge looked very good first half and are probably the second best footballing side i have seen this season. However 2nd half our performance was very good and we can feel unlucky not to have taken all three points.

Another excellent attendance and i enjoyed joining the choir second half. Tonbridge had good vocal support, i would think probably around 200-250 in total.

Must admit that when Jay re-signed for us i didn't think at the time it was the type of player we needed. We were discussing this at the Harlow game when after about 25 mins Spike came out with another classic statement "Rob Howarth is indestructable". Jay looks leaner and quicker than i have ever seen him before and has put in two very good performance and IMO was MOTM yesterday.

Shot down ? You should be poisoned, strangled, stabbed, hung, drawn & quartered and blown up !

Jamie Day is technically our best player. I can't believe that we've got a player of his quality in the team and you can't even see it. We're very lucky to have persuaded a full time professional player of that quality to sign for us and I just hope we can keep him next season.

As for the Ray Wilkins comparison , that can only be a compliment:

"He was being picked up for his incredibly accurate long passes from midfield, which made many Chelsea goals. He scored a fair few as well, one in particular being effectively a long ball over the head of the keeper from near the half-way line, reminiscent of the goal that brought Beckham to the fore early in his career. Wilkins scored 30 goals in 179 appearances for Chelsea, before moving to Manchester United in 1979."

The Crab nickname was a joke started by Ron Atkinson, who was his manager at the time.

Yes, it was a "cracking good game" of football and both sets of supporters would surely have enjoyed it. Woodsy was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and desperately unlucky not to have got the winning goal. Good a season as he's had, Tommy Oz should surely NOT be taking our penalties because, to be honest, he's not very good at them!!! (Even the ones he's scored have been weak). This is not a criticism of Tommy as at least he's had the bottle to stand up and take them but I find it very disappointing that none of the more obvious candidates have stepped up to the task. How is it that when we get a free kick on the edge of the box there are players queueing up to take it yet when it's a penalty???

what game do some people watch !!!! jamie day is a class player from conf national level. At the minute we should be getting behind each and every single player to push for the playoff then during the close season TB will change some personnel im sure regardless if were in conf south or ryman premier.

Great game Saturday, felt we maybe should have had the win but Ill settle for a draw against a team that spanked us at their manner. Thought Ozzy had a terrible game, the penalty didnt trouble the keeper and he was beaten to every ball. Saying that, on a couple of occasions a few of our players were guilty of ball watching.

Apart from that, great game, great atmosphere, shame we didnt nick in the end. Woodsy deffo mom for me.

Play offs may still be there for us but we need to start keeping a clean sheet and scoring one more than the opposition!

Great game on Saturday thought the draw was a fair result as both teams played some neat football it would have been a shame if one team had lost.As a supporter of over fifty years of watching the Darts people have asked me why I bother to watch non-league football well if thy had been at the match on Saturday they would no why,two honest teams trying to entertain and not a prima donna in sight. On the subject of Jamie Day spoke to him he admitted himself he did,nt have a great first half but as the other posts have said we will miss him when he serves his two match suspension the man is a class act and I only hope he is with us next season as he his the type of player we need to progress.UP THE DARTS.

Agree with all thats been said too, Jamie Day had a few stray passes 1st half but was there 2nd half and did what he has done all season, held the ball well, is always available for his team mates, chased back, put in great defensive tackles and hit those defence splitting balls. We are going to miss him next 2 games, when we really need all our big players as we hang on to that play off glimmer of hope. Really hope he stays next season.
