It's so good to see the boys taking the chances that their efforts deserve now the playoff pressure is off. Again we scored four and could have bagged eight or nine. Ashford were a lively side themselves and with our somewhat cavalier defending at times could have naughtily sneaked 3-2 ahead in the second half. Lee Noble has been back to his early season best in the last three games and Ryno has done things most matches that you just have to stand and applaud.

I am always fascinated to read on other forums how our rivals see us and a great deal of the content seems fair-minded. Go on to the Ashford forum. The chap at the game said that the first half was the best 45 minutes he had seen all season. He was puzzled as to why we were not in the playoffs. Mind you, I bet there are a few Ryman Premier chairmen, finance officers and bar managers who are secretly delighted that we are not involved.

First, may I say Congratulations to Tommy for Player of the Year.
On the match, I thought that Craig and Lee were our best out there. Craig definately deserves a goal, hope he gets one on Saturday.
On the matter of Seun I thought a few times he was caught in possession which could have been costly, but he improved second half. Excellent finish by Lee for the first. Craig run his legs off and deserved better.
I thought their No 11 was very quick and covered a lot of ground last night, so too were a few others in their side. And their keeper played well too.
But what a howler tannoy made with MOTM Adam Flanagan, quickly followed by Adam Gross. Oops. To be honest I thought Flanners shaded it between them two.
But Craig for me.

I'm not going to re-do everything, so it will be left with Eagle88's original name of: "27 seun goes down in the area - penalty"

I must say that was one of the best first 15-30 minutes I have seen/remember for a long long time.
The whole team played like a training season, and the movement and passing was outstanding, with some well worked free kicks thrown in to boot.
I would agree too that Seun had a torrid time in the first half. Match fitness? He has been on the bench for a few games.
Interesting point to note, he came across to the left side when we were caught on the counter, and made an outstanding tackle. Maybe a more natural left back? 2nd half though, he relished getting forward and was still managing to get back and cover.

Craig got my vote too. Yes Lee had the brighter moments and between them two they deserve MOM, but Craig was absolutely everywhere, screaming for the ball and making the runs, that quite frankly were what we have asked for since Cody left.Yes they didn't always work, but he got into positions that created chances.

Very surprised that no-one has voted for Ryan yet though. He was indeed back to his best, once again.

Well done to Tommy, deserved the award, just purely for his attitude. Nothing clearer, than when he mentioned last night, that even though there is no 1st team training thursday, he was considering joining the U21's to try and be in shape for Saturday. That's the attitude that gets you to 250+ games.
I promise that the RSI I have received is nothing to do with the voting  :-D

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Oops - my mistake, that's because I was rushing to get the pics done.

Been away for a couple of days, so little to say (who said thank goodness for that ?) other than it was an enjoyable game with the right result at the end and some quality goals.

Craig and Lee both ran their legs off and it was between the two for my M.O.M. and it looks close on the vote but I went for Craig for looking so dangerous and getting into so many scoring positions playing in his more natural position and he had most of the fans behind the goal urging him on to get a goal.

Lets carry on with these recent performances and goals of late on Saturday and end the season on a high, plus hopefully contributing to Margates survival.

Congratulations to Tommy on a well deserved win, justly rewarding him for his contributions to the teams performances over the season.

Great performance by the boys, nice to see the ball on the ground being passed about. Craig is settling in now like to see him score sure once he has we will see a lot more. No question about m.o.m. Lee again by a mile, cannot make it tomorrow family wedding but hope for another win to end the season.

I have been very lucky in the games I have managed to see since Christmas- five matches, five wins, seventeen goals scored and only three conceded. Perhaps the club should be paying me to come down from Lincoln more often!

I agree with much that has been written about this match. I would just like to add how much more enjoyable I have found the football  during these last three games than during the first two in my winning sequence, against Billericay and Tooting.
