24th April 2009 Notes
« on: April 24, 2009, 10:58:52 AM »

Tomorrow we play the last game of the season away to Boreham Wood. Some say there is nothing to play for, but our opponents need to win the game to stay up and believe me we want to finish the season with as many points as possible and in the highest position possible,so we are going there to do our best to win.

I feel in recent weeks that the performances from the players has been excellent and in fact overall this season the commitment from all the squad used has been very good.

I like the majority of supporters that I have spoken to have really enjoyed our first season in the premier league. The standard of football and quality of players that we have come up against has been very impressive.

We did not make the play offs which I am disappointed about, but Paul,Steve and myself think we have progressed and improved things in the right direction once again this season.

I would also like to congratulate, all our Kent Youth Teams who have had excellent seasons, along with Andy and the U18's who are in the running for the league title. The academy players, coached by Simon and Jamie for winning their league in only their second season together. The U21's who are coached by Paul and Steve  have reached the final to be played in a couple of weeks, thank you, your commitment it is very much appreciated.

We did not get promoted this year but I think we were value for money as the attendances suggest. We will improve again next season I have no doubt about that.

On behalf of myself ,staff and all the players thank very much for your support this season.
