Took our Grandson to see Avatar, the wife and my second time, didn't hear a peep from the Grandson, totally absorbed. Walked out without him, forgot we had taken him.
Remakes, I'm never too sure about, But They're doing 'The Karate Kid' with Jackie Chan as the old teacher. Hmm, interesting.

Watched Dark Water last night (Japenese horror by the director of the orginal 'The Ring'). Waste of time and effort, rubbish ending and only one decent shock in the whole film.

In regard to remaking Karate Kid, please please pleae tell me thats a joke! I remember when that came out (Just about) and would mean I am now officially old if they are rema, ing films from when I was a kid!  xshake

No joke Hudson, the only reason it took our notice was  because of Jackie Chan and the fact that it's not in down-town New York or wherever, but in Beijing.

Finally got to see "In The Loop" on BBC2 t'other night ..... UTTER GENIUS. A film (of a show) that finally lays to rest the ghost of Yes Minister/Prime Minister. I'm a long time fan of Armando Iannucci and, once again, he delivers the goods. Brilliantly written, superbly acted and the best swearing by an actor (Peter Capaldi) that there has possibly ever been.

"Climbing the mountain of conflict"? You sounded like a Nazi Julie Andrews!"

I am waiting for a night in on my own for 'In The Loop'.

I have high hopes.

Also about to re-visit Quadrophenia after seeing Jimmy at Bluewater last weekend.
