well done lads - on to Welling this Tuesday night. Remember those who'll be at home for that game can tune in for live match commentary from guest commentators.... xwhis xgiggle

Good workout for the lads - disappointed that the price was different. Was told, quite rudely, by the bloke on the turnstile that "someone got it wrong".

Cheers Dukey, good to see Burgess playing better after the first two games in which many thought he was a bit rusty :)

Duke spot on. It was kinda souless. Also met Gary's Turnstile man who appeared to be not a fan of smalltalk...along with the reluctant barmaid....and a bizarre winnie the witch type supporter, who found it necessary to hurl abuse at any darts player on the ball!
Mr Bradbrook had a decent game, and to be fair, most did as a fitness and tactical exercise. We were never really threatned. Keeper should have walked for comedy challenge. Nailed on penalty for shirt pull not given. Goal was well worked.
Roll on the welling game...we're getting sharper....come on you Darts 8-)

A dissappointing turn out from the Darts fans.  xshrug xshrug xshrug Obviously a mix up with the club about the admission price, but we're used to that. All in all a good workout for the team, and it was good to see Rob back. Elliot Bradbrook looked good along with Aam Burchell, but my MOTM has to go to Billy Burgess. Tiny carried on in the same way as the past 2 games with some good control and deft footwork. Those missing yestrday were Andy Young, Jamie Day, Allan Tait and Jay May. Both Young and Tait are/were injured. Another player now added to the injury list (I assume) is Kieron Dingri who pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury.

So it's onto Welling on Tuesday night.

A disappointing turnout from Darts fans, but still if there were 100 people there at least 80 were Darts supporters, but no atmosphere, singing or cheering and selected applause every now and again.

Not a sparkling performance as players appeared to be just going through the motions, but good performances from Whitey, Bradbrook, Burns and Beales with a good to see first appearance from Barber, but for me M.O.M. was Billy Burgess.

A well taken goal with an overhead kick from Bradbrook was just about the right result although a cert penalty for shirt pulling in the box might have given us the chance of two and their keeper flattening Burchell as he raced through one on one might have given us the chance of a third and I assume as it was a friendly the keeper only got a yellow card.

As for the staff others have got it right, the turnstile man was a miserable git with no apologies for £6 instead of £5, the bar girl had no charisma or smiles and had no real interest in customer service and the lad behind the food counter struggled to rememeber anything.

But we got into the ground, had an enjoyable pint and pasty and chips all at reasonable prices and a win not bad for a Saturday afternoon.

I nearly missed out Flanners performance as he put it about in the first half flattening Craig Carley at least three times and in the second half at centre forward doing a similar thing to their centre half and defenders. it looked as if he was enjoying himself.

And congratulations to Eagle 88 as he captured in his picture gallery all three incedents that I mentioned as you can see the keepers boot raised on Burchell, Bradbrooks overhead for the goal and the clear shirt pulling penalty with Burchell about to shoot.

Well Done Dave p.s. How come you left me out of the photo was it The Duke's big head  xwhis

just to remind you that THE photo is copyright and that my lawyers are watching !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good day for banter BUT was it just that as  there was no crowd that i could hear a constant barrage of bad language ,  predominantly from the met police players and management team

dosen't actually upset me but IF it was saturday night in east molesey high street then would some of the aforesaid be arresting the culprits for the same language ???????

I had to take THAT photo as a test of the lens's ruggedness for the coming season  xwhis xwhis xwhis xwhis xwhis
I will admit the language from the Met Police bench was 'industrial' at best. With a larger crowd it might've gone un-noticed but in such sparse surroundings every syllable could be heard, especially the berating of the linesman on the near side  :-D :-D :-D :-D
