Interesting. After watching the film of the match did anyone else notice how the Horsham player in the wall when they scored had turned around and shoved Lee Burns out of the way for the ball to go through the gap.Obviously a referee who can book a player for kicking the ball away all of 3 yards could not notice a blatant foul. Also a bit strange how no one protested something so blatant.

It happens all the time johndfc.  All part of the game.  Usually there's so much going on, even the best refs can't see everything, no matter how blatant it appears.

Incidently, I was surprised to see, several years ago, coaches at my local Basingstoke Select FC teaching this "tactic" to their U12's.  Seems it's never to early to learn.

I didn't notice that (may go back and view again later), but I couldn't help laughing out loud in the second half when we had a free kick in a similar position and someone oh-so-blatantly elbowed Whitey about 5 yards sideways out of the wall. Fortunately, Whitey was able to get back in before the kick was taken but UNfortunately we didn't score from it.
