Just come back from a good stint at the Dartford bar. For anyone not there today just logging on, make sure you see the 4th and 5th Dartford goals today on youtube. Liquid, Brazilian football.....

Happiest, strongest collection of 16 Darts players I have seen since mid-Taylor Watling street days. People itching to get on and impress from the bench. Biggest compliment I can pay is that I didnt think hendon were a bad side (keeper and sub CB apart) and the no 9 was a very decent RPL player. If they get the first goal in games this year they will upset people as they are quick on the counter although not particularly strong on the ball.

The starting XI just looks so strong on the ball to a man. Great times ahead for the penguins, rotate these 16 well and we are in for a heck of a season.  MoM today for me was sir Robert of H although the improvement in the back four this season needs to be commended. Burgess and Gross look so solid at full back and Coyle and Flanners are looking fitter this season and winning absolutely everything in the air. Its been said here before, but kicking aside Young is the best keeper in this league. I dont think its a coincidence that during their runaway league win last year Dover's defence were as tight as Jim Parmenters badly tailored trousers in winning the Ryman Premier. We now look like we have a defence capable of matching their acheivements.

Great days at Park the and an air of "if" and not "when" not about us. Definitely time to bring a mate along to the park and witness this..... could well be a special season.

No Highlights of this game as Sony was on Family duties, and I was on Wedding duties, so I missed the 4 goal thriller that was the 2nd half :-(

bloody marvelous

i didnt think we were as fluid as i have seen this season but when going forward with purpose we ere just to good for hendon.last season  i thought hendon were the worst team at PP but they wer better today.
i have to say the "dive" from haworth was laughable.the ref has been watching too much telly and the linos we have at PP are as much use as a lump of lard. the lino was 20 yards from the incident and he allowed the ref not to give a pen and then book haworth.let me tell you someone diving at haworths age would like a prize ponse and he just didnt do it,for someone to get away with a dive he would have to be nimle like noble.the ref was just a joke and the lino was worse.
i felt sorry for tait when he came on ,he lacked confidence and this was because when he got his chance to start all we could for him was to pump the a yard over his head.however he got a good shot in for one of the goals before the rebound went in.
i was also pleased for jay may, i think he is a great footballer full of stregth and energy and i would like to see him have run of games with burns

its early days but i think we are beginning to look too good for this league,if we do run away with the league i hope tony keeps the pressure on the players  by picking the best players and the players in form

as for motm , its a difficult  one because no player was really outstanding but after much thought i go for right back burgess

Only one man for me - Adam Gross was absolutely superb throughout, best left back performance I've seen in ages, and we got no change whatsoever out of him at all today. Read the game brilliantly and almost every time we went down that flank he intercepted the ball without needing to put an actual tackle in.

Thought 5-0 was harsh on the way most of our side played, but our defending was woeful, particularly in the second half, and it's pretty clear to me why you're top - hugely improved on the dire game at your place last season.

Agree on the penalty - Rob wasn't a diver when at Claremont Road, and it did look like he was probably clipped from a distance - although he did also look to go down quite theatrically (not suggesting that it was deliberate!) which probably made up the referee's mind. I did think that other than that, the crowd were quite harsh on him though - far better than the guy that did our game last season at Princes Park, yet he seemed to get twice as much stick!

Good luck for the rest of the season (except at Vale Farm) although I doubt you'll need too much!

I think we played within ourselves today but did more than enough to win comfortably .Apart form one save in the first half Andy's goal never really came under threat .

5-0 did that flatter us? I am not so sure when you consider we missed a pen and should have had another.

All in all another very entertaining day. (I wonder if the representatives from the English Democrats came along to see all that wasted money) xwhis xwhis xwhis

due to hols its my first game since opener v horsham and i was impressed with the team and its no real suprise we are top

the new players have added poise and control missing from last season and it has rubbed off onthe likes of coyle , flanagan and we give the ball away far less easily

my only concern today was that we are still prone to messy defending which currently is not costing us goals but we will get picked of if it continues , i agree with grassbanks post that we could easily have conceded a couple today but are getting the " rub of the green "

overall we were different class and look full of goals from several players [ the subs got 3 of our 5 today ] and it was an exciting game to watch

my MOTMwas billy burgess who rarely wastes a ball , pops up in attack and is a class defender who along with daffy goes about the job with minimum of fuss and doesnt get noticed and are a major part of  the team

relieved that  so called jinx by TB winning  manager of the month award was irrelivent !!!!!!!!!

Yet another good performance from the lads today although at times we did get a bit lucky that the Hendon forwards couldn't shoot otherwise the scoreline may well have been a bit different.

I though both Burgess & Gross had very good games again today with both making forward runs at times and both Flanagan & Coyle were reasonably solid at the back although letting their forwards get past them a bit to easily at times, still im going to give my MOTM vote to Coyle because he looks to me to be getting better & stronger each game and he's not playing as many Hollywood type long balls now as he was, he put in some very timely tackles today and won virtually everything that came his way. Jamie beat Flanners to the vote as Flanners missed that poorly taken penalty which normally he would've smashed home but for some reason tried to casually place it scuffed the ball & ballsed it up.

Lee Burns was non stop running again today for the whole 90 minutes and didn't give up once, at times it looks as though the ball is lost until he chases it and somehow turns it into a great ball or a good attacking run. His energy & work rate is absolutely 1st class. Yet another good goal from Lee today thats 9 in 7 games now, not bad for a utility player who's normally a right back  xnod.

Robbie Haworth was excellant again as well non stop running until he was subbed. A very well taken & struck shot from him for his goal as well. As for Robs booking for the so called dive that was an absolute joke he clearly had his heal clipped to bring him down because he was just about to unleash a shot on goal. Thats just not Robbies style of play to dive he's not that kind of guy & certainly no cheat. The foul was almost as blatant as the 1st penalty for handball.
The referee was a shambles virtually all game and the linesman was just pure gutless, what can you do when your up against officials like that, well you can respond by winning at least 5-0 for a start  xgiggle xgiggle.

Good to see Jay May on the score sheet again as well picking up 2 goals after coming off the bench and then setting up Lee Noble for his well taken goal.

Another good gate today of 1100 which really does put the likes of Ebbsfleet to shame considering they are 2 leagues above and just outside of the football league.

Roll on next Saturday and the start of our F.A.Cup run (well hopefully anyway).

COYD's.

We are an improving side (yes folks we can improve) and the sheer strength and power blew Hendon away, a joy to watch, who else felt we won 5-0 with room for improvement?

Shame there is no footage of the game because if Keth Hackett had seen that inept lino 'freeze' over that Robbie 2nd penalty incident he would be serving a suspension along with the ref who didn't have a clue at times today.

Onwards and upwards, feet firmly on the ground, we haven't 'arrived' yet and there is a long way to go, lets keep supporting the lads week in week out.

No comment on Hendon, its all about DFC for me!

Oh Gary, it's not alright to swear just because it's the internet, some of us have these on speakers with small ears close by!

Yeah, sorry about that. I got carried away - still not happy about the dive that never was. There is a small disclaimer on the audio page though xwhis

Well, that game was an absolute delight to watch. I will mention Hendon Greg, because they were not a bad side at all, and could have scored a couple themselves if they had taken their their chances. This result must have sent shivers down the spines of the rest of the clubs in the league because I travelled down to the game expecting a close game, given that Hendon were well placed in the league. However, they were blown away by the sheer strength of the Darts.

I really was impressed by the new look Darts yesterday. They looked a big, strong side, full of confidence, in all areas of the park, with perhaps Ryno, the only  one for me not quite fully consistently in the game and I think fairly substituted by TB. There were flashes of his magic, no doubt at all, but I can understand fans frustrations when it is said they don't know which Ryno will turn up!!

And yes, the referee got it totally wrong with the booking of Rob Haworth. I was right in line with his intended shot on goal. He had turned and left his marker for dead. You could see his eyes concentrating on lining up his shot on goal. He was brought down as his leg was in the air poised to shoot. What striker would take a dive when he could see every chance of a goal from open play. Certainly not a dive by any stretch of the imagination. I also wonder about the other officials. They used  to be called linesmen in my day, and the fact they are now called assistant referees and their very name means they should be assisting the referee. So many still want only to flag for out of play or off side. That linesman was close enough to have made a comment to the referee, but did not want to get involved. What makes the situation worse is that players or clubs are not allowed to appeal cautions, so later on in the season, Rob could be penalised for accumulating 5 cautions when at least one of them was not warranted.

To be honest, I have not seen a more impressive performance from the Darts for a very very long time. If this is the sort of fayre that is being served up, then I wish I could get down to see games more often. Strength in depth as well, TB and his back up team deserve every credit coming their way. I know it's early days yet, but even Hendon fans returning to the station were commenting on the strength of the Darts and we were the best team they had seen in a long time.

Given the strength in depth, it would be nice to have a margin in league points to enable us to put together a good FA Cup run together with the extra cash that would generate.

Thank you TB and everybody involved. And congratulations on the Manager of the Month award as well. Only sorry I couldn't stay long enough to see the presentation, but I had a train to catch!!

Couldn't make the game due to work commitments, but heard the result on Radio Kent where Mike Green was talking about the strength of the Dartford bench and stated that we probably have the strongest subs bench in the league. With players like Tate, May, kessell etc he's not wrong.

Well done lads

An excellent performance from the team with everyone contributing and in contention for M.O.M. (my vote goes to my name sake Billy)

Daffy is beginning to get up to speed with several telling challenges and verbal with the referee, but a bit of an off day for Ryno who looked surprised to be substituted but relieved.

Good to see Jay getting a couple of goals and refreshing to see a forward not being greedy and going for the hat-trick when in a scoring position, but rolling te ball across the goal and setting up Lee Noble for the 5th.

Hendon had a few scoring chances and should have taken at least one of them, but Andy again produced a top class save when called upon.

Onwards to the cup game and interesting to see who Tony will be picking in the starting lineup, a chance to rest some of the players to the bench I would imagine, but no room for complacency please.
