This is certainly the club that had fag ash Lil in the tea bar selling ransid burgers and had more chips on the floor than in the fryer because they was either uncooked or rock hard. Hopefully we can grab the 3pts and get out of there quick.

Quite partial to a bit of ash in my chips ! xwhis :-D

Carshalton were right up there with us as favourites for promotion this year!

I would suggest they are suffering a slight hangover from being beaten in last years play off final by Staines so are not to be underestimated. I quite liked their gound last year a decent bit of covered terrace for a sing song (probably helped with us winning and it being xmas)

Sutton we should have beaten at their place last year with the chances we missed. I think we are in decent form and should certainly take the game to our opponents cheered on by some decent support/number I would suggest!!

According to the NLP they now have Francis Vines as their new manager. Ex-Farnborough manager, a good acquisition. This will be a good one to win and then Sutton Ath to-boot.
Dare I say 6 points, eh, I'd be happy with 4.

Last year away at Carshalton saw Tommy Osbornebauer have a great game keeping Richard Jolly quiet from sweeper in the old 3-5-2 system. Whilst not a fan in general, the 3-5-2 worked about as well as I had seen it for us that day. We were resilient and well organised for 70 minutes at 1-0 and then gave Cody 20 off the bench to scare the life out of them and seal the match once they had tired.  Cody's "have a ten yard head start" second was one of our stand out goals from last season to me. The lumpy Carshalton centre half looked like he had been shunted on to a top speed treadmill when Cody put the ball past him.

We will need to keep Jolly quiet again this year but I think we might be catching Carshalton at a great time. Recent weeks have seen a departed manager, the departures of two decent players in Freddie Sawyer and Matt Gray, a home league defeat to Kingstonian and an FA cup defeat to Whitstable at the weekend.

In the next few days we will come up against Jolly and Steffan Payne at Sutton (now back on loan after signing for Fulham) who are amongst the league's best strikers. Should both be decent tests for our vastly improved defence.

One thing is for certain, Carshalton and Sutton have got "massive" games coming up. We should be looking forward to games like these, not worrying about them.

there are a group of us going from work on tuesday evening. the sutton supporter and i have been looking foward to this one since the league fixtures were first published.the rest of the lads who are all supporters of football league or premiership clubs have decided that they ought to come along to see what all the fuss is about.anyway mr sutton says they are keen to repeat history and be the first side to take three points from the mighty darts as they aparently did last last year against our friends from france so no pressure then lads.

all part of carshaltons master plan to try and  stop us playing our passing football by roughing the pitch up beforehand as most games in surrey due to be played tonight are doubtful due to torrential rain in surrey today [ i was there ]

similar to when maidstone got sittinbourne fire brigade to put 100, 000 gallons of water on bourne park a couple of years ago [ ducks came from 50 miles away to sit on it ] and then aquaplained us off the pitch and got a sneaky 4-1 victory !!!!!!!! since then on normal pitches we have slaughtered them twice

the lengths some teams will go to ?????????????/

Carshalton are ok for the drum. Sutton are just miserable gits, im surprised they havent banned singing yet or taken the refs whistle away because its to noisey and they will get complaints.
