bloody marvelous 3 points

not our greatest performance but we still deserved the points and never looked like getting less. burns showed coolness and quality for his first goal and slooted away the second goal while the hb defenders were trying to dismantle howarth.noble did brilliant to get the penalty and kept running all day.as for white all i can say is wow.i dont see him as a holding player because his qualities can get stifled but with lee noble moving all over the place ond often joining the attack it just left white in midfield and what a job he did.tackling ,heading, interceptions ,closing down, and he even had time to put one just past the post from the halfway line. a real captains performance , and thats saying something with people like burgess flanners coyle and haworth in the side.
happy days

Anyone fancy posting up a league table, as it must be a pleasant thing to look at just now.

Great 3 points  xnod bit of a disjointed performance due to the wind and we didnt come out with any urgency but not to worry. 9 points clear now.  xbop

MOTM for me Lee Noble  xbow ran his sox off, setting up 1 and getting the penalty.

UTD n bring on the Chelmsford!!!!!

Very pleased with the win which for me never looked in doubt.   Totally agree that Lee Noble was MOTM.  The one downside was another booking for apparently arguing with the ref.   We lost Jamie Day today after 6 yellows, most of which, I think, were for dissent.  Yellows for "over zealous" tackles can perhaps be excused (it's a hard game) but refs never change their minds so arguing or kicking the ball away are really soft bookings.   Bring on Chelmsford.   Sadly will miss it due to a bit of Canarian sun starting tomorrow...well it always rains in the Basque Country!!

Dare I also add not a bad performance from the officials in tricky conditions. Helps when the ref is reasonably fit and can keep up with play I notice!!...Or maybe this studying on a Satuday night rather than having a few beers to celebrate another win is beginning to cloud my judgement!!??!

Very much enjoying watching Sky sports news with the league table rolling by every 4 or 5 mins!!

Felt we ground out a result in tricky conditions.  Can only remember the keepers making one save each.

Harrow had a high work rate and I felt we surrendered possession a little too easily at times in the second half.  However, we did not look lke conceding a goal.   I don't think we gave Chelmsford too many pointers this afternoon.

Great crowd figure, but very quiet today.  Perhaps lack of lubrication.  Must be much louder next week!

Top marks to the bar staff who did very well in difficult circumstances this afternoon.

Come on you DARTS!

only the second game for me this season, due to work . thought we played well in tough conditions. motm for me was bradbrook. thought he controlled the center of the pitch,
good to see nobby back to his best, and full of running, never gave up on anything.
thing that most impressed me was the officials , lino on woodman side was good, even getting ref to book there number 11 for push on ryan, and ref in general kept up with play.
still cant believe that some people still moaning tho ! love to see them last for 30 mins let alone 90 . miserable sods .
after missing games, am impressed by improvements made by team. flanners seems to be pulling defence together and they are working together as a tight unit.
A big  well done Mr Burman and the rest of the guys for giving dfc their pride back and well deserved for manager of the month again !

Just noticed that it is now 9 hours since the defence conceded a league goal. (1st minute v wealdstone way back in August) Well done Andy and the guys at the back.

539 minutes to be precise. Anyone know what the club record is? What will give first, Andy letting in a goal or Lee not scoring?

Lee Noble for me. Covered a lot of ground, and covered for Billy when he went upfield. Ryan didn't give too much away as I am sure he will revel next week. A tough match, but then Harrow always are, their 2 and 7 had good games. But it was nice to see that we didn't play particularly well and still got a win.
Elliot played well too, as did Billy, a good influence on the side and a good talker, I bet Braintree are missing him. Can't wait for next week.
I don't know how Lee had the gaul to claim the second as it was clearly an OG.
See you all next week.

A good result given the conditions as the wind spoilt so many moves in the first half by blowing the ball out of reach of the forwards and I thought that we would be much better in the second half but few chances arose, still those that did during the game gave us the goals and the missed penalty.

A good workman like performance from all the team with Lee Noble and James White the M.O.M. contenders and Lee Burns doing just what he does best and I would give him the second goal as it was goalbound and the defender only helped it on in an attempt to clear.

The defence did all that was required and allowed few chances to be created and blocked any shots before they could reach Andy and he had a quiet game with only a couple of soft saves needed.

M.O.M. to Whitey just ahead of Lee simply because he was left so often to cover large area's of the midfield as Lee was moving forward to create mayhem up front.
