I think we've got a great chance of progressing to the next round on saturday. Last year we were nowhere near as strong as we are now but I remember we gave a very good account of ourselves against Hampton & Richmond in the FA Cup. Also, at the time they were top of the Blue Square South and ended the season in the play-offs. xfinger
We also gave St. Albans a run for their money until Butterworth thought we were playing rugby.
Gap between Ryman Premier and Conf. South = not so big , let' s prove this on Saturday  xbop

Listened to the BBC London Non-League show tonight - an email from USDartsfan was read out with a name check for Clarkie et al. and the Darts. Seems the presenter is a Chelmsford fan and not confident for Saturday!

just watched the match video of chelmsford v woking on the chelmsford site and have the following comments

#  look a pacy side going forward but finishing was woeful

#  no pretty football played [ lots of long ball stuff ]

#  chelmsford looked poor at the back , both woking goals were result of cock ups

IF they play like that against us we have a very good chance

UP THE DARTS

We should expect CCFC to be strong and quick, indeed we are the underdogs, lets just enjoy the occasion and give it a real go. The support should be as loud as it has been for 20 years.

So far this season the lads have had to cope with the pressure of being favourites for every game they have been involved in.

Will be nice to be the underdogs on Saturday with all the pressure on Chelmsford to come and play! I for one feel this may help us relax and have a good go on Saturday!

Looks like the pitch will be slicked up with the rain so all pointing to an excellent cup tie! Can't wait!!

yes must agree all the pressure on chelmsford, we are the underdogs, darts can just relax and  enjoy the day, having said that confident we will get a result as they are  an average side at best,  if we play to our best  and they beat us, then fair play to them, going to be a great cup tie. Up the darts.

there is  no doubt we will be underdogs but it will be a great test for us.
when we played bromley in the cup a while ago they were clearly better and stronger than us but we gave it our best shot.i dont know if we will get through but i know we will give them a good game.
this is a chance for the players to give the manager an indication as to whether they can play in a higher league if we get promoted.

bromley may have beaten us, but we also gave hanpton and richmond a good game and brought st albans back to pp and played them of the park, then lost on pens, and darts team now much much stronger, iam confident we can get a result if play well. Up the darts

Nice try, guys, but Skybet have it-

Dartford 5/4
Chelmsford City 6/4
Draw 13/5

Be nice to be the underdogs for a change....

Not being a betting man, I've never understood how bookies work their odds out, but if skybet think it's so close (5/4 DFC, 6/4 CC), how come the odds on a draw aren't nearer to evens than 13/5????????
