nice to read some sensible postings from real fans.make no mistake,we are under no illusions, chelmsford will be a side as big in stature if not bigger than our players.they will also be very pacy and physical.they are not in a better league for nothing.
if we get something from the game it will be bloody marvelous.cannot wait.

Bang up for Saturday.

Can I ask what good pubs are there near the ground that would be good for lunch?

As for the game I'm expecting us to be up against it does'nt take a genius to work out that you'd be pretty tidy in the Conf South already so your probably better than a lot of our league oppo were facing this season.

I do quite fancy our wingers against Billy Burgess though they tore him a new one more than once when he was at Braintree.....

Did actually see you play last season as my mate played for Heybridge and watched your game there. Unfortunately I expect you'll be much improved from that day!

Loking forward to a good day out and up the City!

Not really many pubs near the ground but if you want to go into the town centre (only a two minute drive - or if you park early at the ground just grab a fast-track bus into town) there are a few places that do decent grub. Flying Boat, Paper Moon, Tollgate (The second two you may come accross first) as well as the Courthouse or Bull n Vic.

One word of warning though: There will be the Saturday market on in the town centre so it will be pretty crowded. May also be better to get the bus as there are road works on the one way system which may make traffic a nightmare. Actually, that's two words of warning!! lol

"Tiger Claret...."

"Fiston's Tackle (CCFC)...."

Interesting that various fugitives from the Chelmsford City Fans' Forum have chosen to rebadge themselves for this site....

Nice to see "Selbz" remaining constant....and sensible, apparently....

The flying Boat and Paper Moon are both Weatherspoons so unless you like microwave food, I would avoid! I personally would go to teh Orange tree for a few pints and then nip over the road to the all day cafe which does a mean fry up (and I dont mean mean as in stingy!). Both a 10 minute walk from the ground.

If you don't fancy the hassle of going into town the club bar opens at 10am where you can get hot food. Apparently we do a full english breakfast as well. Bacon, egg, sausage, beans on toast for £4.50. Check out the Dartford FC website for info on our excellent catering service xtip

But don't leave it too late, or else you won't be able to fight your way through the crowd queuing for booze!!!!

Interesting that various fugitives from the Chelmsford City Fans' Forum have chosen to rebadge themselves for this site....

Nice to see "Selbz" remaining constant....and sensible, apparently....

Maybe, but.

At least their posts have made interesting reading and might I add, make sense.

I'm having trouble figuring you out to be honest, not only were you just happy to point out our faults you are now laying into your fellow CCFC fans as well?

Still, as long as it makes you happy........... xtip

I know I'm going against my previous postings about not giving people the ammunition, etc, etc, yah-de-yah-de-yah, but there's nothing on telly, I'm bored and if this pointless rant innitiates an even more pointless response then I've achieved my aim.

As for the other CCFC fans I'm looking forward to seeing them. I hope they turn up in the numbers they've been quoting and that everyone has a good time. look out for our named shirts btb.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if our friend Mr. Foster actually comes from Dover

Hold on chaps..isn't the idea of a 'forum' to have the opportunity of a public discussion? I quite enjoy Guys like Mr Foster airing a view or three, likewise some of our more ..er..colourful replies. No point sitting on a fence-we're supporters, not councillors.
I happen to believe Beales is our best defender, that Tait runs around with the vague look of someone who's forgotten where he parked his car, that Burchell dresses like he's off to see the wizard, lager should NEVER be served in a plastic glass and we are going to win this league by at least 8 clear points!
Agree with me or not, but let's have natter and a bit of a crack. eh?
or am I just rambling?

Tonbridge Angels fans think very highly of Beales too and they miss him. Looking forward to seeing what Burchell can do after he's served his suspension. Liked the look of him in pre-season.  xfinger

TBs biggest challenge this season will be to keep ALL of his squad happy as they will ALL want to play and ALL could easily be the 1st name on the team sheet

extended runs in the fa cup. f a trophy , ryman cup and kent cup plus the guaranteed suspensions and probable injuries would all help in keeping the squad happy

fingers crossed !!!!!!!!!!!!!

nb I am also a john beales fan but in fairness  [in his position ] coyle and flanners and burgess have played great so far and he can/will  have no complaints
