Tuesday's game will be very interesting. Local derbies are always a bit unpredictable. Both teams will be looking to get back to winning ways after defeats against clubs from a higher league. Losing to Chelmsford came as no great shock. I am more concerned that many supporters expressed the view that we had been getting results lately in spite of being below par.  An eight point lead, with a game in hand over the second placed team, is superb. Let's hope the players are back to their best tomorrow.

Burnsy has fed well off Rob so far this term so that would lead me to think strongly about giving Jay the nod but Taity needs game time and looked very good when he entered the fray Saturday so just gets the nod for me but knowing that Jay is ready to go if needed!

surely if tait isnt match fit then you dont play him until he is

jay may for the win!

He is fit but needs to play and no point playing him in the u21s as that is not the level he needs to be at for Ryman Premier league games. Get him in there from the start!!!

i see your point

but jay has a decent goal record per minutes played so far this season and is therefore 3rd choice centre forward

I think with Tait he is actually fit (he darn well should be by now) hes just one of these players that will never look fit even though he is. Personally Tait hasnt impressed me at all so far, Jay would always get the nod ahead of Tait. When Birchall is available again then he to would be ahead in the selection order. Tait did look better when he came on Saturday though.

Got to play him though 5th as he must be costing us a bit in wages and lets be honest hasnt really had much of a sniff so far due to excellent form of Robbie & Burnsy!

Do any of us really know how good he is? and some people seem to have already passed judgement due to his slow start to the campaign??!

However he must take his chance simple as that. Keep drawing blanks (build up play is nice but not what he was brought in for) in Robs absence then the pressure is really on with Jay & young Birchall waiting in the wings!

From Bishops Stortford site:

Quote
Danny Harris    Midfielder/ Attacker    Age 21   Previous club - East Thurrock Utd
Signed in December 2007, Danny made an immediate impact. A tricky, skilful player, Danny made his debut at Sutton United in the 07-08 season and set up Blues' winning goal. Previously played for Cray Wanderers.

This is a surprise! Thought we were already getting congested in the midfield/ attack area, but TB knows best , and a new injection of flair and pace can only benefit the team. I look forward to seeing him debut, perhaps on Saturday (maybe on the bench against Tonbridge  :? , not sure when he is eligible to start playing), and seeing how he fits into the structure.

Welcome to the club Danny  xbop

Just beat me to it.
Indeed, looks an excellent signing albeit a strange one for Stortford to let go as he has been a first team regular for them for the past two seasons, and a central part of the team.
Anyway can't wait to see him play  xbop

I made the point earlier about already having a lot of players who can play that position but Harris seems to be very versatile as he can play wing, up front, full back or midfield.
I think TB has picked out another beauty.

Guess there's no point in signing anyone unless they are quality and can improve the team so welcome to the Darts family!

Incidentally, that's my nephew. Albeit only in name as my nephew is only 18 months old, but Danny Harris welcome to the family. Although you're already in it.......... :|

Are Bishop's (finger) stortford in a league above?

Have to admit i'm surprised but it's always welcoming to strengthen the squad. Be interesting to see where he plays and if it's Jamie Day who he replaces as Jamie is a bit older than some of the other guys.
