aveley match saturday 24th october
« on: October 18, 2009, 09:55:23 AM »

NOT often I start a thread but up early as full of cold [ man flu !! ] will need fitness test to determine IF I can work tomorrow ???????

a few facts :

# best home  crowd this season 243 [ v margate ] -  reckon we will beat that ????

# last 5 league games - W1- D1- L3

# touhy main goal threat

# ketchell [ex darts ] central defender - nice touches but slow and prone to mistakes

main hopes

# that this time they get some [ extra ] beer in [ hope Tesco's is open ]

# an extra person to help the burger lady , grand old lady of 80 but she needs help !!!!!

# they buy extra " loo blues " to stem the flow

# increase the available programmes to 100 , IF none available least we get in £1.50 cheaper

with no mid week footie  , saturday cant come quick enough !!!!!!!!

We should be taking lots to this one. a very winnable game and not too far. They've shocked a few people with results but still think we should get a win.

Lets all get in the big stand on the side and sing throughout. 3 drums and singing in there will be so loud!

good to hear the drums will be at aveley as they  [played well ] and add so much to the atmoshere and volume/vocals which I know [ cause the players tell us] are a major benefit

much greater benefit than some of the misery guts who stand on the side moaning most of time or so I am reliably informed !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing how many of our more hard to please fans continue to moan despite our imperious start, always saying how lucky we were to win and we were fortunate to catch that team when we did etc etc!

Aveley away, very close (yes it is, i've checked) so no excuses please for not going, fill that stand and create that special Darts atmosphere and more importantly the right result.

Are you sure about that Duke? I always assumed that a bit of constructive criticism helped things along and geed the players up. I was the one shouting 'Burman out' and 'you useless git Young' at the Chelmsford game, and we began to play better (and scored a goal) almost immediatly. Who wantsa bunch of fawning sycophants at the games?

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Coney, as the 5th and I both stand behind the goal and you are usually in front of us, the only thing I have to moan about is you standing at the same end when the sun is facing us, it's rays bounce straight off of your head into my eyes. xwhis

Trouble is Coney I'm catching you up fast in the hair stakes and there will soon be two of us dazzling The 5th  xno

Perhaps we could both get hats like The Duke's  xno xno xno xno xno
