Totally agree with comments on the amount of yellows players have received, but it's the bookings for verbals with the referee/linesmen or for decent when throwing the ball away or a high challenge or studs up tackle, not normal fouls which are part of the game and more often than not are not intentional when going for the ball.
Plus how many times this season have players been booked for fouls when in fact they have won the ball cleanly before contact is made with the opposition player and depending on the referee and his interpretation we either get play on or a foul and possible yellow card.
Or the same for the referee's who booked Burnsy for handling before scoring or Taity for diving and feigning injury in the box, both of which could have gone the other way and should have in most fans eyes, but yellows were shown.
A while ago we were crying out for seasoned, experienced, street wise players to put a bit of beef back into the team and now we have it in the midfield and defence we are bound to pick up a number of yellow cards, but perhaps that is why we have conceded so few goals and also have a strong squad, not just to cover for injuries but for suspensions as well.
I still don't condone Flanners reaction to whatever was said or done and would rarely argue with most red cards shown, in fact I feel we have had a bit of luck so far this season and could have had more.
