Ah, Ramsgate is a re-arranged fixture, then, is it? So why wasn't it in the fixture list in yesterdays' programme? :?
Because no one told the programme editor.

Wanted to see much more from Danny Harris..strange one this, as although it's well documented he's not a fan of playing wide, he does excel there. Looked to be floundering in the middle somewhat.

If my information is correct the quotes attributed to Danny about where he prefers to play are not his and he is happy to play wherever TB selects him.

I assume the next round is still regionalised? What's the odds on us drawing Ramsgate away?!?!?!?!?

It is still on a 'geographical' basis but the Conf N & S teams come in to the draw, for this round.

What's strange is that he played up front on Saturday and scored a goal and was a lot of people's choice for Man of the Match.
He also played up front on Tuesday at Ashford and scored a goal and was a lot of people's choice for Man of the Match.
He played wide at Sittingbourne and had a relatively poor game.

It's a good job the U21 players bring their family and friends, otherwise they'd get no MOTM votes for their 10-15 minute substitute appearances on the pitch  :-D xgiggle :-D
Don't always agree with your posts sir, (well, that's the concept of a forum!) but your'e absolutely correct. This poor practice is making a mockery of a nice little award for players deserving of it. I could'nt vote on the ashford motm, simply because I was'nt there!, but this does not stop others. As for the 5/10/15 minute cameos, what are they hoping to achieve? Shoddy behaviour.  :x

Dark Uncle, I fully agree with your first point

However, ultimately, a handful of people voting for the late subs isn't really going to effect the overall season's award. It goes to the player who wins the most MOTM awards.  So, on the basis that the voters who make informed choices do successfully identify the real MOTM, then a few "wasted" votes won't make much difference overall.

It's when a nice bloke who tries hard every week gets the most MOTM awards and wins the overall trophy that there might be a justifiable complaint  xwhis

By the way, even though I don't think any of the subs did enough to warrant MOTM nominations, I must say that I was impressed with both Danny Crouch and Conor Heffernan (and of course Bealesy!) during their short time on the pitch. Well done lads!

And he was hugely successful in the middle on Tuesday night.

first chance to coment on the game, 1st half me and my friend were comenting that it felt like
it was maybe to easy for the darts, all the play in the Chips half and plenty of chances without
really getting out of 1st gear and possibly hard for the lads to motivate themselves against a very
nice club but very poor team. I think the chance for them just before half time might have given
the lads the ( sending off at Averley ) affect which gave them that extra bit of motivation in the
2nd half, enjoyed the game if im honest because it was never in doubt even at 0-0.

And just look at that attendance!!! 969 was it at Ebsfleet for the visit of Wrexham and 1002 against
a team who possibly have the same support you would see at a local pub team! During the game i was looking
at the away end thinking about our derby game against the fleet next year, 3000 people? or would it be closer to
4000k?

Certainly not 4000k (= 4,000,000!). But if (when) the 'Fleet come down into the Conf South and if (when) we go up, I reckon they'll be lucky to get home gates of 750, of which maybe 400 max would come to PP to see the local derby. So 2,000-2,500?

For me personally, I chose Lee Burns as my MOT. Though everyone is entitled to their opinions, I do find it rather unusual that Danny Crouch is currently only 3% behind Burnsy in the voting stakes. If it really is the case that votes are being cast in favour of friends and family then that's very sad. It is indeed shoddy behaviour and if anything it turns a positive into a negative as it can only serve to cause embarrassment to the player concerned. Honestly, what are they thinking off? There again, when I think of some of the shenanigans that go on between the parents of opposing teams at kiddies football matches, in local parks, it's not quite so surprising. xshake
