For me good interesting debate gents!

Would never accuse anyone on here of not supporting the great black & whites and to be honest maybe the first time I have read WWs comments and not agreed with most of them!

So am i wrong to be bothered when we lose?? xshake xshake

Where do people draw the line on what games they are bothered about??
league cup??
unimportant end of season league game??
Is there different degrees of being bothered??
If people are not  bothered we lost this game what was their incentive for going??

I want us to win every game and i don't like it when we don't.

This will be my last post on the subject because if people are not bothered when we lose there's nothing worth saying to them, i'm absolutley astounded.

WW, at the end of the day we lost, and agree it is not the attitude to have, having said that TB picked the team irespective who thinks should have played and yes it was not the strongest team TB could have picked but at the end of the day that is the team picked by TB and they under performed, the side need to pick themselves up for the next game as a lot of this negativity isnt in all honesty doing the players any justice, as i am sure of lot of them log on to this forum and at the end of the day they are not robots and are only human.

I don't normaly go to League cup games, if im honest its because we are asked to pay full whack to watch a mainly second string team.
So it was an evening in front of the TV or watching the Darts and the footy won. I was pleantly surprised with the strong team we fielded on the night.
The turning point for me was when Burnsey went off injured, after that we looked very weak in midfield and Aveley overan us at will, our midfield offered little protection to the back four, hence the many chances they created.
But saying that i enjoyed the game very much, it was a 9 goal thriller after all  :-D and Burchell was fantastic to watch as he scared the daylights out of the Aveley defence with his pace.

Its important IMO not to over react to this result, i went hoping we would win but we didn't, and its not the end of the world. Our one prioty this season is Promotion, and its not that anyone is not bothered about the result. We move on to the league now with a busy fixture list and if truth be told watching that boring lot from Hornchurch park the bus in front of Goal at PP this season is not a pleasant experience.

I want the DFC teams to win every game they play right the way from the youth teams, U.21 and every first team game. I want us to have the best attendances, the best stadium, the best fans, i  want the club to win in every aspect possible, but that is just the way i am ! Doesn't mean i am right or wrong .... but lets aim to be the best we can be !

When a team mounts such a staunch title challenge as we have, it is a reality that cup runs can lead to fixture flooding (add to this the back log of postponed games that are building), which in turn can be very detrimental to that team's league progress. I myself, was unhappy with the result (more so that we leaked five at PP), but would've been devastated to have dropped another three league points.
Also, had we lost later on in the competition, I think the 'don't care' camp would have been less ambivolent.

I could care less that we're out of the league cup - it IS a pity - but if we fail to win the RLP, i'll be inconsolable.

if you'd read the whole thread you'd know that Wimshurst's Dad is a forum member, and no doubt very proud that Chris came on for the first team ..I know in the circumstances, if he was my son, i would vote for him even if he'd been on for 5 secs...come on give them a break ....(and by the way Hayes didn't play for 90 mins)

I thought it was man of the match not your favourite player, son or grandson! This has been discussed before at length but alas still goes on, I personnally  dislike it that's all!

Charles,
I for one did not vote for my son nor did he vote for himself, how could I vote for him only playing approx ten minutes. I would take it as a wind up, just for information my MOM would have been Flanners by I decided not to vote.
