waltham abbey and waltham forest are two different teams.

lets not make the mistake of overestimating waltham abbey,we should beat them by 3 goals at least !!!!!!!!!!

they are trying hard and have a few decent players but no depth.

they have two players that i would have liked to see at dartford but we have moved on faster than they have.harry elmes is a very good forward and deserves a crack at a bigger club.he is very clever and is a predator. we have so many good forwards that he would now be of no benefit.the other guy i liked is a right back george chanda.he is good but i fear ryman premier is his level.

another fairly decent player is the left back denny webb.he is good but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.if ryan concentrates he will tear him to pieces because he will go forward and leave huge gaps for ryan to exploit.

harrys brother james elmes is pretty good and ghosts in from midfield to score a lot of goals, you have to watch him.the othe decent player is the forward, billy holland.he is ok but nothing more than a workhorse.
thats about it for them.the two centre backs are not that strong and any combination  that includes haworth or may should kill them physically.
my prediction  3-0

We must get at this lot right from the off and get an early goal if we can. They will come to Princes Park with a game plan the extent of their ambitions being a dour 0-0 draw. My man from Sutton informs me they are the most frustrating side in the league.
If some of you thought the Hornchurch keeper was bad, you've seen nothing yet. Time wasting is their specialilty, particularly from throwins. Watch how many times they clean the ball on their shirts, drop it then clean it again before the throw is taken as well as the slow walk up the line and the slow walk back when the ref tells them to go back a few yards.
Infact, if the ref does his job properly the match should hopefully be concluded by 5:30pm! xfinger

Why is Richard Jolly wasting his time and talent at Carshalton? Why are we not looking at this guy? He feeds off of big players, which we have two of. Just a question is all.

Because we've got Burchell who does exactly that?

jolly is [ at his best ] no better than any of our strikers , his ratio of goals to chances is poor and he often hides in big games , best leave him where he is , any bright ideas on [ real] quality midfielders ????????/

Hypothetically....................

How do you know we didn't speak to him in pre season and maybe the financial demands were too great.

We made Jolly look pretty ordinary when we played Carshalton this season. I would rate Tonbridge Angel's striker Carl Rook as posing more of a threat. But seriously, if we  dare think about  poaching a goal scorer from one of our rivals then the man for me would be Prior of Bognor Regis.
He's the most dangerous forward we've had to deal with in the league this season, because actually we didn't really deal with him. He bagged a hatrick at Princes Park and if I remember rightly they were all fairly decent goals especially the bullet of a header for number three. xfinger

I don't doubt Jolly has gone off the boil, all I am saying is with the quality we have here, he may ignite the old spark. As for Rook, we all know he wants too much money. Tonbridge would love to be rid of him as his contract would probably pay for two more players.
And going back to a Midfielder as Duke asked, Ryan Ashe of Wealdstone, some one with a bit of bite.

I understand that's Mr Jolly's problem as well... the cash.
