Just want to add to this thread, a wonderful mock with Chris Moyles.

Moyles first. What an absolute dick.

With some of the music you put on at the Crayford Arms...(90% great Juke Box by the way)...I don't think you can comment on a music forum.

Artfuldodger - I have a The Rakes single on vinyl called "Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep)".  I bought it after going through a stage of listening to The Furtureheads first album (to be honest I only like their debut album).  Back to The Rakes I think they have split up now!?

Gotta agree with you there, Disco Stu. The Futureheads never seemed able to recapture the excellence of their 1st album (probably should've done more Kate Bush covers).

Was hoping to go see a band called Los Campesinos tonight down at the Bush but unfortunately it got cancelled. For those not in the know they released what is (IMHO) the best single of the last 5 years "You!Me!Dancing!" First seen in a tent in a field in Yorkshire in 2007 (along with the Rakes funnily enough) they were utterly brilliant and made up for not being able to get in to see Kate Nash ... and she hadn't even released "Foundations" at the time! Anyway, Los Campo's come highly recommended. Check out the wonderful video to the above mentioned single and enjoy  xbop

Ps: The lyrics mention a band called Bis ... now, whatever happended to them?  xshrug

"You!Me!Dancing!" brilliant song and one of my ringtones actually.  They are playing at Truck 13 music festival I'm attending in July. Been to the festival for the last 4 years and its brilliant for new music (as well as a few headliners for old times, Lemonheads, Idlewild, Supergrass and Ash last year!). Anyway, I remember Bis (got an album on casette!)...wish I could turn back time to those indie days sometimes.

Love "We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives" - bit bored with Los Campesinos!'s other stuff.

I reckon most of what Damon does is worthy of a listen whether it be Blur, Gorillaz, The Good the Bad & The Queen, or even his film soundtracks (I recently purchased the OST to Ravenous). I reckon the O2 show will be a good 'un ... infact I might just pop along myself  xnod

One question Mr Artfuldodger, sir - Why does Mick Jones earn himself (quite rightly it must be said) some BOLD lettering but not so Messers Smith, Rhys or Reed? All of them highly rated in my book, don't ya know  xnod

The Clash are a great band. Then again the others are as well  xtip

KP, what other bands are you into?

Oh, absolutely anything, Dodge. As long as it's entertaining then it'll do for me.  I find the older I get the more eclectic my tastes become, ie:

Listening to at the moment: Brian Eno
Last seen: Grimethorpe Colliery Band
Last bought: John Foxx
Last read: Public Enemy biog.

Basically I can listen to almost anything. That said, I can't flippin' stand what people call "R'n'B" these days. Absolute tripe  xshake

Oh, and as for the Clash (all time top 5 band in my opinion) never got to see them live - just too young I'm afraid  xwhis  - but was priviledged to see Strummer & Jones play together at The Astoria. I felt blessed  xbow xbow xbow

I like this type of snapshot...

Listening to at the moment: 80's electronic compilation - god, there was some toilet
Last seen: The Who
Last bought: The Chords - Maybe Tomorrow (t'internet download)
Last read: Neville Staples biog. I really do not like this bloke anymore.

KP,

I'm always listening to Brian Eno (and Harold Budd) and I saw The Clash live at the Hammersmith Palais.
I think I saw them somewhere else but I can't remember where.
