Great post Stoat !  xbow cos enough said about Tuesday's game and now looking forward to Sutton on Saturday !

I also say 'Hats off' to the DJ  xtip as I did take note of the choice of music played myself with a certain irony attached !
Lets hope with fingers crossed for the remainder ' We don't get fooled again '  :-)

And before 'won't get fooled again' one of my favourite songs, the announcer says - and now for something more contemporary!!....39 years ago yes!

I feel like I might have left it a bit late to comment on the actual game but couldn't let the Billericay thread close without commenting on the music.

The Theme from Shaft and the full Thunderbirds theme before the game.
Bernard Cribbens followed by Wont Get Fooled Again at half time. Surreal.
I was just getting excited about what he would follow The Who with when the bloody teams came out.
Stoaty, are you saying that you weren't impressed by the inclusion of ELP's "Karn Evil 9" ? I wonder at how many other clubs you would hear this song played? ('not many, Benny' would be my guess)

Oh I know it's late but thought I'd throw my tuppence worth in.

Tuesday night's performance was immensely disappointing. We didn't really test the Billericay keeper, particularly after going that goal down. Fair play to Billericay, you can see why they have the third meanest defence in the league. But that was at the cost of anything resembling an attacking force - I thought Billericay were a very poor side going forward.

So to concede a goal to them was bad enough,a nd considering our jittery form it was always going to be tough getting that equaliser. We never really looked like forcing it.

I disagree with all the criticisms of Ryno. The guy has had a hand in a large proportion of Darts goals this season and is an incredibly respected player throughout the Ryman league. Billericay proved that by shadowing Ryno with two of their defenders. The fact Darts couldn't exploit the resulting space isn't Ryno's fault. Without the three month lay-off - when he was playing superbly by the way - Elliot would have been more effective on Tues. Football's like that though.

We've been living this season off the superb goalscoring form of all our players, but that has hidden a weakness at the heart of the midfield. With poor form hobbling the side we were always going to be found out sooner or later. And Tuesday it duly arrived.

However all is not lost. Tomorrow's match against Sutton should provide a marker as to the side's grit - Sutton are a good outfit. Come on you Darts!

Hi, I'm the er....DJ (match day announcer) at Billericay Town and I would just like to say thanks for the comments regarding the music...it's nice that some people enjoy my er...rather eclectic taste. It's a bit of fun and of course it's fantastic to mix both music and support for the club into one.

Anyway, good luc for the season and once again, thanks. It does mean a lot when I read that someone listens and enjoys what is played.
