Sutton perhaps deserved the win on the basis that they were the better side in the first half, but a 0-2 flattered them as in the second half we should have gained at least a draw had we taken our chances and Coylie hadn't cocked up.
I must say that on the votes front Burnsy & Bradders rightly way ahead and four well deserved votes to date for Ryno who looked so much better having had a spell on the bench to reflect and once on provided us with the Ryno we all love.
At least 5-6 telling crosses, two of which should have seen players on the end of and resulted in goals, plus a good run into the box forcing a save from the keeper, then following it up only to see the second shot cleared off of the line, praise where praise is due.
Of the team performance as a whole, only one major problem which most have identified, with no creative midfielders of quality (read Eddie Mac/Jamie Day) we are not in a position to produce many chances to either put balls wide to the wings or through the middle for the forwards, but rely on the long high balls punted forward from any of the back four or Andy.
For the teams we are playing against their defenders pick up the balls in the air and their central midfield win second ball knock downs or rebounds and convert the moves into attacking breaks using either wing and should they lose possession they then gain it straight back from our lumped kicks back up field.
Much as it pains me to say it, as some have said, it may be right in moving Burns into midfield as a temporary measure now that we have Rook to battle it out up front, plus at least one quality centre midfielder to be signed up a.s.a.p.
A local derby away against Tonbridge coming up next, with them wanting to get a win over us it will not be an easy game, so it will be interesting to see what side is picked and you could even see Beales being pushed into midfield to strengthen it along side Burns, who knows ?
Tony picks the team and today did see him make early substitutions when things were not going right, so whatever his decision I've no doubt that it will see a good number of loyal fans travelling next Saturday hoping to see that elusive win of late, arrive at the end of 90 minutes.
