Maybe Rynos biggest fan but I agreed (see earlier posts) with Tony to give him a rest yesterday if only just to have a look at a game and get him to think about what he needs to do and give him a kick up the arse..........

Having said that you can't drop/rest him and then start the game with a central midfield duo of White and Dafter as it immediately puts you on the backfoot as they dont have the legs and all round ability to dominate the most important area of the field!! I would suggest out of all our midfield players on the roster if an opposition manager had to pick 2 to play against it would be these 2!

I would have a tinker with the formation as not sure a flat 4-4-2 is working but worried about changing formations midway through a season! Busy busy period coming up and maybe for next few games a case of rolling up the sleeves and grinding out the odd result ala Liverpool meaning the defence have to do their part as well and cant be switching off periodically!!

Like everyone else yesterday I was so disappointed with the performance, especially with the midfield. Some of us on the terrace agreed that since Jamie Day left it has left a hole in our midfield. He wasn't an outstanding player but what he did do was stop players playing through us and became an awkward player to play against. We miss him. Look what he's done at Welling since he's been there.
Lee Noble has to come in next week in place of Daffy and we have to stop the Sunday morning defending for their second goal yesterday.
Come on Darts, don't blow it, there's plenty of games to go.

I think we all agree that midfield is our weakness now and we do not have the quality of player to replace Jamie Day in our squad now so we need to do that, maybe Ryan Johnson would have been a better option instead of Dafter or white yesterday,

This game is now gone and all we can do is support the club at Tonbridge next week and hope that we can get back on track as we need to before the lead at the top is cut down to 3 or less points then the pressure will be on us as many teams think we had this league won way back before christmas.

For the next game I would go with the following
Young
Burgess Beales Flanagan Goss
Ryno Burns Bradbrook Harris
Haworth Rook

I would go with with Burns playing behind Rook and dropping back as a 5 midfielder when needed. But as Rook can not play in the next match Robbie would tale take position

                Young
  Burgess   Beales    Flanagagan    Gross
Ryno    Noble          Bradbrook       Harris
                  Burns
                  Rook/Robbie

Didn't we once have a gentleman's agreement with Maidstone not to play one of our ex-players - only for him to play (and score the winning goal?)?

So sod the gentleman's agreement with Tonbridge, says I. It's not worth the paper it's not written on!

My side for Saturday would be

                                                   Ryno

                              Ryno      Ryno         Ryno     Ryno

                              Ryno      Ryno         Ryno     Ryno

                                          Ryno          Ryno

Ryno playing on the right and switching to the left occasionally  xwhis

Can anyone explain to me why we go 1-0 down just before half time recently ?

Tony can't do right for doing wrong - everyone was calling for Ryno to be dropped,  then he is - and we don't win because of poor team selection.

Please don't speak for "everyone".......I know a lot of people were calling for him to be dropped after Tuesday but I was not one of them.

Seems to me our problem is with targeting our passing, too many cases of lump it in the general direction of the front men which were easily cut out by the defenders and then came right back at us. No coincidence that two of our best chances were created by Adam's accurate wing-to-wing passes to Ryno, which gave him time and space as the rest of the game was still on the left flank.
You could have Rooney and Drogba as your front pair and they wouldn't score if they weren't getting some sort of service. (Though in those 2 cases they'd probably get p***ed off waiting and go get the ball themselves).
Also people don't seem to be backing each other up to get the bits  & pieces e.g. Robbie chased one ball yesterday all the way to the sideline, flicked it back past the defender and nobody was there to take advantage, like they'd given up on him getting it.
Let's hope for better (balance & performance) against Tonbridge.

Please remember the league position of your team can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested.

All I can conclude after Saturday is that the 'nine man Polo formation' is not the way forward.

Was dissapointed with the result on Saturday as was everyone but this maybe the kick up the ar$e the team needed. Cant say much more than what has been already been said except that there were a few silly errors made and we were lucky to only lose two nil.

Ryno starting on the bench seemed to do the trick as when he came on, he looked more like his old self. Maybe this has made him realise he can be dropped if he isnt performing. Hopefully he will play the full 90 minutes on Saturday with the same flair he did on Saturday just gone.

Felt there were a few cards not given, especially for the filthy tackle by the wooden man after the whistle had gone. The number ten should have walked but instead, he stayed on and ended up owning the left flank, getting himself into some great positions whilst also making some great runs.

We also need to stop sending some dodgy back passes to Andy, he doesnt cope well I dont think with these and a couple went awol.

However, Harris had a good game and Rook was unlucky a couple of times. Lets learn from our mistakes and get back on form for the Tonbridge match. This wobble has been going on for two long.

PS A certain person was calling for TB's head on Saturday and had gone back to calling Haworth Cart Horse. There is only one word for this bloke and I think we all know what it is.
