By sounds of it he was offered better terms at Farnborough who will be conference south next year unless they have a collapse in form and lets face it what the player wants the player usually gets nowadays!

Agreed wouldnt want the deal scuppered due to their request but also as stated don't think they were in a position to negotiate this part of any deal!...i hope it doesnt come back to bite us on the arse come 4-50pm Saturday!!

If agreeing not to play Rook against his old club was a necessary part of the deal that brought him here then so be it. For all you or I know, that may have been the clincher in us getting him!

I don't think TB would ever go back on his word which is one of the reasons he is able to sign players like Rook in the frst place. A deal is a deal and we should honour it.

More importantly, whoever plays on Saturday, it would be nice if our travelling supporters could get behind the team and help them through this dodgy patch rather than laying into half the team as was the case at Billericay.

IF TB agreed to it then fair enough and I am NOT for a minute suggesting he does otherwise HOWEVER the reason tonbrodge didnt want him playing against them is that he would no doubt have scored and they didnt want to risk that

in view of the [ negative] comments on the tonbridge site about him I bet he would have been fired up

I dont believe the bit about it could have worked against us as no doubt the best deal won hopefully swayed  by rooky wanting to come to the darts set up

still its " old hat " now so best move on

Hoping for a good game this saturday matched with a great atmosphere and 3 points. Tonbridge always bring a few to our place and its pretty local so lets go in force. Its easy to support your team when you win every week. Lets show why we are the best supporters and we deserve to go up this season.

Marked this one as a fun bus so will b there in time for the pubs to open.

Agree with Dukey on team selection ( pending gentlemens agreement ) , Bradders in the middle for energy , steel and can alternate with Noble in who joins the front two. Harris and Hayes played well together at Canvey and Harris has pace too. Rook and Burns up front as Robbie may be carrying an injury as he has looked a little jaded last couple of matches . A win will bring much needed confidence

Id go with that line up but with Haworth in for Rook as im sure he wont be playing IF there is an agreement in place and if not then as was mentioned. You could possibly have Beales in place of Coyle.

My Granny and her m8's could beat Tonbridge Angels at the moment so not having Rook will NOT be a problem

If May is fit, I would play him in midfield. Wins the ball,  holds it up well and has got reasonable distribution.

I am really looking for some revenge in this game as i remember only too well last season when we not only took a beating but their fans had great delight in taking the P with their chanting. Hard as it was not to respond i am a firm believer that every dog has it's day and i'm hoping it will be ours Saturday. If so i will not resort to their level and be happy taking the three points.

So unlike at Billericay we need to all get behind the team (even if it's not the one we would personally pick) and make as much noise as we can.
