KST and they have a league cup game to shoehorn into their schedule somewhere and who knows what happens should they progress to the final (Thank god we got knocked out of that competition when we did!)

I see that Boreham Wood are due to play at home tonight and then again on Thursday.  If they do play tonight can you imagine the state of the pitch for Thursdays game? I would suggest zero chance of the Thursday game going ahead!!

I honestly think the league need to extend the season and push back the play offs if at all possible!!!!!!!!

I dont want to get in to a cyber spat with you or anyone else, but.................

The very fact that this is a public forum is exactly the reason why you should not be criticising someone by name. Do you know why things have been wrong? do you know for sure that it is down to Clare? Instead you criticise without having the foresight to reason with yourself.

Without singling anyone or any group of people out for criticism, people need to take a step back and appreciate what has been achieved by the club in recent years - we are on a very road to greatness and while resources are what they are at the club, we need to maintain a non-league club on a non-league budget, not expecting a non-league club to have football league resources.

Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone has them plasered over a forum - perhaps you would like to share some of your less glorious moments from working life with us and we can all have our say on them?

As you have said, there is no reason for a cyber spat so will end this now. Differences of opinions and all that but this isnt the place for such back-forth forum posting on such matters

You can buy me a beer at the next game ( whenever that may be !) and we will discuss from there....   xtip  :-D

Wealdstone have got to play Kingstonian away on Thursday 25th Feb and I am sure I read that they are playing Aveley on Thursday 25th March so that is two Thursdays gone in the 42 day period. Then they have their Championship Manager cup game to fit in.

Crikey, if the revised date is 11th March we would have to pay out for 3 away games in 5 days.

According to the Ryman fans site the Wealdstone cup match is 4 March so another Thursday gone. If they get through they would play the semi on 11 March so that goes too. They want 7 or 8 April but is that outside the 42 days? The Ryman League have already made them change their Kingstonian match from what seemed a perfectly sensible first choice of date. I fear we may become embroiled in a clash between the Ryman League rulebook and Wealdstone's diminishing list of alternatives.

What do you do to help the club, if you don't mind me asking?
Perhaps you could volunteer to taking this weekly fixtures update over, then we can all look forward to an error free email every week.

I pay my money, am a season ticket holder, drink beer in the bar , buy scarves, shirts etc and generally support the club. I have a job thank you, so no, I will not be taking over the weekly email. I am presuming this is her job( and not as you say a volunteered position???)? If so, I would expect her to be answerable to her customers ( you, me and everyone else at DFC etc). If I do something wrong at work I would expect someone to tell me, either in public or in private.
This has turned into more than it needed to be. Why is everyone so scared of mentioning things if they are wrong in case they get upset? We live in a modern world where we should be big enough to accept criticism, however big or small ( very small in this instance, made bigger by you bringing it up again!).
If something is worth doing, its worth doing properly.

Thats all I will say on the matter so keep bringing it up if you want, but thats the end for me.

Unsurprisingly, I fully endorse Delboys position.

The reason some people are very concerned by this is because of the personal nature of your comments.

Just what exactly did you hope to achieve by bringing it on to this forum? I fail to see just what can be gained by your comments - mistake made, mistake rectified and everyone moves on - get over it.
What is strange to comprehend is that, in a completely unrelated matter, Clare advises someone that tonights match has been postponed and you choose to cry over spilt milk, whilst having a very personal dig at the lady concerned.

I think that your attitude of "I am a fan, I will have my say", is acceptable, but only to a point. Personal attacks shouldnt be entertained - on players, managers, coaches or staff.

As per Clare Weeks @ DFC: "I have just been advised that the Away Wealdstone fixture this evening has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch."

Considering some of the "fixtures this week at Princes Park" email that I receive from Clare every Monday ( littered with mistakes!) I wouldnt be so sure that this is indeed fact !  xshrug

Apparently we are playing Ashford in the Kent senior cup on Saturday !!!!  xshake

And talking of mistakes, that should be emails and wouldn't.

xshake Sometimes it makes you think whether any of the work being done by anyone is worth while.

IMO since Clare has been involved with the admin side of the club things have improved significantly, this i know from personal experience.

The fact that we now also receive emails with info, something which never happened before should be appreciated.

Feel that some of the comments on here were unfair and unnecessary.

So as far as i'm concerned well done Clare and keep up the good work.
